That Japanese suguru osako who recently broke the Japan NR just helped Li Ning sold hundreds of feidian elite 6. As for me, next year SCSM, it will be on my watch list. LOL.
you have to try it and probably then understand why i am bullish on this pair of running shoes. Even the unplated Lining 赤兔9ultra felt good imo. Could compete well against 小鲶 in terms of performance, but price isn't looking too encouraging.

comparing with western and jap brands is competitive. but not so amongst Chinese brands. Maybe can snag a good price during 双11 &双12sales (<rmb600).
but its logical Lining is priced this way as they are positioned to compete internationally and has signed up many international runners.

red hare 9 out liao? now even have ultra.

I just took the 乔丹强风3TR for recovery run. It is my preferred shoe than the 361 ELEOS for tired legs. The soft cushion that sink gave my legs needed impact absorption to make the run bearable. IN fact during easy day, this shoes is also my preferred choice for non plated shoes. Slowly the NB rebel v3 is being neglected more. It's a good sign (for my wallet) the I am slowly weening off from western brand.

I concur. Mind over body. Depends on how much you want it haha.

I could have sub 3.30 if I didn’t drop off after 37km but I just suddenly stop at one of the water point to rest. I was thinking to myself “Left 5 more km, that’s still quite a lot”
If u didn't do hm the previous day, I am sure u ok.

More single long runs in one session definitely. There was one SCSM, I think was the first or 2nd year after covid, I ran all the way, (san upslope sheare bridge). And the final last 3 km, even surge the pace, and the legs weren't fatigue as bad as this year . Basically currently haven't build enough base. The day after the race, could still do recovery run zone 1 above 17km.

Difference was I was using pfritz zinger training plan, which has about three or more >30km long runs in the peak phase. And 20 to 25 km were the plans mid long distances which also plenty of them. But it is also demanding. It didn't improve my aerobic system as much as TAO. For TAO, by the time of SCSM race, my average HR was for MP was a comfortable 136 to 143, still within zone 2.
With pfritz zinger plan, too high mileage, shin splint, every week feels fatigue , too high training load and volume. But aerobic wise not much improvement. At the same HR range I was still much slower, can't do a sub 6 min pace vs 5:36 with TAO training.
Looking to still use TAO, but modify it when come to long run.
It is like how we train for HM, where our regular easy days now can go up to 21km without muscle fatigue, coz that's our base. Just need to make our base higher like the Pfizt zinger plan.
yeah you're true. i'm still experimenting and learning on the training method that is best suited for me.
i realized that i have become stronger as well as i could run a HM anytime if needed without feeling too fatigue.
this has also lower my perceived value for HM races though. i think i will only spend on trail or FM races moving forward. :ROFLMAO:

For me it's the exact opposite. Now it makes me think I may only want to do HM and below. HAHA. Either that or if do FM prob not in SG

Got fast ones and not super rare also, just by sheer probability due to huge-ass population over there (plus nowadays got 高铁 so much more accessible nationwide)......was talking to bro xllms about this a few weeks ago only.
All shapes and sizes and age and pattern got. Girl debut 2:36 also got, not pro hor....but possibly ex-athlete

Even got 3:30 pacer all girls group.......(so basically they are much faster than 3:30) last one is guys pacer but you look at the crazy sized group both girls and boys. (of coz slower ones also have, probably even more massive).

me as a slow uncle halfway to centurion, often gets zipped past by girls of various age goups in the parks along the bund stretch. There are so many fast runners here in SH along especially where i live and do my runs.
1) in one of the weekends morning earlier this year along westbund, i was doing a slow LSD run approx. at 7min/km pace when a group of fully geared up 3 good-looking ladies (sunglasses, running tights and top, high compression socks, top notch running shoes from western/jap brands) overtook me as they chatted with each other along the way.
2) there is this uncle in his 70s, will film his runs daily and cruise along at around 6min/km pace while everyone who recognise him will wave at him to greet him
3) It gets worse if one runs much earlier, eg. before sunrise, or just before end of office hours till into the evenings, the real enthusiasts are out there running, many of them cruise effortlessly at 5min/km pace or faster
4) on weekend mornings, there is this stretch at 黄浦滨江, with a stretch of roads that serves as a circuit for some of the best runners in shanghai for their workouts. One can search 苗江路 which is famous here in the marathon scene. Most of the long runs (easily go beyond 30km) are done below 4min/km pace throughout. Some will do their fast intervals there as there are 3 circuits to cover (1.35km/1.85km/2.7km per lap). Won't surprise me if someone there outruns SRY.
This is just one part of SH. There are many more similar places with plenty of running talents, eg. bund stretch on pudong side, 世纪公园, various stretches of the Suzhou Creek and many other parks.
The sheer scale here is quite amazing which contributes to the lively and vibrant running community.

ok thank you for wasting 1min of your time listening to my opinion on China, in particularly in SH which probably difficult for ppl in SG to relate.

there are many quality alternatives in China that offer more forefoot space in their shoes. Just search around and am pretty sure you can find one that fits you well and your save your pocket.
