using iphone so not sure how to help you. iphone stores passkeys on icloud so can access using the biometrics of any apple devices logged into the same apple ID.
No worries. I appreciate your response. My problem not really a big problem. I just prefer if i can use my fingerprint directly rather go to another app for login verification.

ya it should be good enough for most users on 4G.

if one really top up $88 x 8 which has 14.7 years of credits by then 4G infra should have been gone and replaced by 5G also.
This is not an issue as Eight allows plan change, the wallet is very flexible in usage. Moreover by then, rest assured 5G plan will be current 4G plan price. 😀

it is good to know, you can top up your own wallet through the Eight mobile app to enjoy the current promotion of top up $88 get $176 credits.
No need to queue at telco service centre at specific timing.

Ya, able to do via the app is handy, especially for those who rather not have to deal with retailers on site or online. What's more payment can be via the saved credit card, making it convenient.

Simba line cut off at 2315hs, in transit to Eight. Good bye, Simba, I nearly will extend your life span if only your 1-for-1 promo is executed properly. Eight retaliation is a nice and wise move, I will probably stay with Eight $8 plan for 30? + 88 + 660 days with the port-in & top up promo. I am not sure the free 88 days will include the paid 30 days plan or not, no info on that but if included is still good enough. 😀

Applied via app around evening. Opted eSIM
Didn’t received any email confirmation or temporary number.

around 11pm, StarHub line is cut off
Should I be worried or patiently wait?

If I just port in for the purposes of wanting the free 88 days, can I still buy $88 topup and get the $88 bonus?
So total, 4 months for $18, and another 10 months using $176 credit?

I think the 88days are given in days not credits cos my wallet is still shown as $0. Today is last day so u need to activate SIM today. Either get hold of physical SIM with dealer or via eSIM. Whether can top up temp no. Eight has no info. Google AI said it is fine. So you may have to decide urself whether to take the risk.

Eight literally just ported my line 30 mins ago so I might take the risk.

Checked your Spam or Junk mailbox? How about the email with your eSIM QR code? I normally receive them almost immediately.

1) No expiry date as long as your Eight Plan is active and you keep renew it.

2) Eight is a subsidiary of Starhub.

3) Because of #2, unlikely it will be closed.

For reference, when SingTel decides to close down heya, heya users' balances are kept if they agree to migrate to the new SingTel hi! 4G Postpaid plan (but managed by SingTel Prepaid Team).

I checked again. Eight is not subsidiary of StarHub but just a MVNO which is a separate company that leases StarHub network. 😅

AI Overview

eight Telecom (or eight mobile)
is owned by StarHub, a major Singaporean telecommunications company, operating as a sub-brand or subsidiary to offer competitive mobile and now home broadband services, leveraging StarHub's established network infrastructure. It's essentially a cost-effective, standalone brand under the StarHub umbrella, similar to how other telcos have challenger brands.
Key Details:
  • Owner: StarHub.
  • Structure: A wholly-owned subsidiary (eight Telecom Pte. Ltd.) launched by StarHub.
  • Network: Uses StarHub's network for coverage.
  • Strategy: Offers budget-friendly, no-frills mobile and high-speed home internet plans, aiming to disrupt the market.
