Yes, today is the last day for that promotion. Here are the relevant terms in Eight's FAQ:

My port in has issues. While I am rectifying it will I still enjoy the promotion?
No worries! As long as you sign up and port in during the promotional period (from 14-16 Dec 23:59PM), you’ll still be eligible to enjoy this promotion!


I think that means you must lodge the port-in request by 11:59 PM tonight to qualify. (And then the port-in has to complete, eventually anyway.)
I see, ok bro but must got the SIM card first right, cuz I worry long queue haha

they are not overwhelmed. got money for them to earn, why not keep doing it right.
it's cos their credits to topup for us is not enough. they need to reload their wallet too.

All these top-ups are manual works, even if there's big cash for them to earn it's tough for them to keep doing repetitive stuff.

Don't think there's a charge. Which retailer exactly was it?

    • Change plan can be done via eight account or simply head down to our eight retailers/ service centre.
    • Your latest entitlements will take effect as soon as you upgrade. For downgrade, your plan will take effect after your current cycle of plan ends.
Can anyone confirm if the above is still applicable? i.e. can downgrade without any charges?
Noticed that the above has been removed from the FAQ link.

I checked again. Eight is not subsidiary of StarHub but just a MVNO which is a separate company that leases StarHub network. 😅
Eight is definitely under StarHub as they report it in their Q3 2025 business update
