SRY really needs to thank his lucky stars he was competing before the likes of Kieran and Robi stepped onto the scene. He is in his prime rn and can't even eat their dust at all, rather just collect money from SCSM instead. Those final words really unnecessary.

For all riders, something interesting to share.
QuickPro Er:One vs Cervelo S5 vs Winspace T1600 wind tunnel test

* does not mean the QuickPro & Winspace performs better than the Cervelo.

Got this on impulse, coz the price after stacking vouchers and coins brought it down to $63.32. I will use this to track my NEAT activities, such as walking and cycling to do errands.

the watch I got is from Lazada. The thing is I have been very on the ball to claim coins everyday, and by the time of the 12.12 sales, they allow me to offset certain product at 25% using coins and this watch happens to be one of those product. But it's from China. So there's are risk that it may be fraud. But user reviews on the seller is good, so I took the leap of faith.

Coros can try shoppee and Lazada too. Just for 11.11 sales the COROS pace pro qualified for the $120 off min $400 purchase on both platform. Brings it down to $377. But coins offset is miserable at 1%.

These collateral circuits acts like bypass vessels. Endurance athletes with partial blockage will develop this coz it enable them to perform high intensities exercise. It also make us more resilient to heart attack.

My 1st time hearing about collateral circuits.

Still I wouldn't rely on them. I want to ensure my main arteries are clear.

Why do 30-40 seconds training for triathlons which are so bloody long. (even standard distance Duathlon (2 disciplines only) is over 2 hrs for a pretty fit individual and around 3 hours for a weekend recreational).
You'd never be using that.

We sat down with world-champion coach Dan Lorang (coach to Lucy Charles-Barclay and Jan Frodeno) to explain why VO₂ max sessions are essential—even for long-course racing.

Looks like the bar for SEA game 10,000m has risen a lot. All top 4 would have won gold for the previous SEA Game.

2023 results as below. I don't think Shuan or SRY can catch up if the bar is maintain for 2027.

RankAthleteTimeNotes
1st place, gold medalist(s)

Rikki Marthin Simbolon (INA)
31:08.85
2nd place, silver medalist(s)
31:10.70NR
3rd place, bronze medalist(s)
40px-Flag_of_Myanmar.svg.png
Tan Htike Soe (MYA)
31:25.55

Soh's national record set few weeks ago at Japan 30:33 also not enough for podium so don't think got chance. Soh got more chance at marathon tbh.

I think nowadays he running more for fun. Throughout whole SEA games he was doing vlog, even interviewing Kieran and Robi. I think he knows he isn't there to win.

He got blocked in 2019/2021 SEA Games and came back to get silver medal in 2023 (in 10k which isn’t the marathon event he got gold in), which is already quite remarkable.

Got married + have his coaching business, he is running a lot less than in the past.

Don’t think he will beat out Robi but got a decent chance medaling in the marathon, assuming fully tapered and didn’t go for scsm

As mentioned in another post above, I also feel he got more chance in the marathon. I think if he did the SEA games marathon, he wouldn't do SCSM. maybe half for fun only. Robi is extremely good though, from the vlog interview Soh filmed with him, he actually stopped to help Ricki who got cramps at 35km and only carried on at 38km for gold when the Philipino athletes caught up

Holy sheet, that power (accecleration) at the last 100m at that kind of speed/gearing.

But SG really no velodrom. Sim tiah for young sis Valencia due to lack of resources. Her attitude/training is there. Family also supportive (coz cycling is dangerous esp if road training) even aftering buanging seriously.

Podium don't get still ok, our current best time will kenna lapped which I think out SA will try to avoid sending such participant having this risk.
