You just need to swipe left to display the code for bus. When scanning QR codes while taking the different transport modes, make sure you choose the correct one.

Super troublesome especially while taking buses… Need to scan the code at a certain distance.

If you download Amap 高德地图， they embed the Alipay transport QR code it it, provided you link it to Alipay first. I use this for my Didi bookings as well.

Yes, I recommend Amap while navigating your way around in China. Dun think you can link it to Alipay if you are using sg number.

You need to bind it with your YouTrip or Trust cards. There is no way to top up your account on your own, unless you can get the locals to help you.

Just like MY's TnG, I advised to ask friends/relatives/colleagues to help top-up & you can pay them back in SGD.

same for Baidu Map, I also used for Didi booking , linked and charged to my Alipay

My experience last month ICBC Unionpay has very slightly better rate than youtrip.

I have a trip coming up next week to Shanghai. is there any checklist on payment I must ensure I get it ready apart from Alipay and WeChat pay? and how did I test it will work for sure?

Dbs union pay debit card rate for today was 5.38. This is worse off than iChange at 5.42 when you convert yourself, i.e. convert and store in wallet instead of just making payment and allow iChange to convert automatically.

Just link it with alipay sure work one.
If don't work u use ocbc paynow function. That one also work at china. But donnoe the exchange rate. Nv try using that

For info. In most of the China's big citys like Beljing, Shanghai, or even SUzhou, now you can use your Singapore issued international Credit Card directly tap for MRT and BUS ticket. it just like Singapore. no need to use Alipay or Wechat pay.
