How long before I could port out of CL ?

just port in this morning. If nothing fails i could continue but if its bad then i guess i will be on my way out to 8. Lol

i chose esim but my number seems still not ported out yet. Ususally how long ?

Port-in will usually take 1 to 3 working days. Most likely it will be okay for you tomorrow.

As per the following post, you can port out after two months. But the article was updated one year ago, not sure if there are any changes now (say can port out immediately but need to pay two months charges).

https://circlesasiasupport.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/115003837793-What-does-No-contract-mean

Circle Life straight away charged you two months of subscription fee upon sign up.
You are free to go after the minimum period, no penalty.

https://circlesasiasupport.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/115003837793-What-does-No-contract-mean

Unlike traditional telcos, we don't lock you in to two-year mobile plans. The minimum period you have to stay with us is only two months since our first bill immediately charge you for the first and second month, which gives you the freedom to try Circles.Life out. You should be able to schedule for termination as long as you pay your first bill with us.

If our services aren't meeting your mobile needs, you can cancel your plan after the minimum period. No fuss and no need to pull your hair out over two years because you're stuck in a contract with an unsatisfactory mobile plan.

What's even better, No-contract means you get to tweak your plan monthly, based on your mobile needs. We let your mobile plan grow with you and your changing needs.

Other no-contract SIM Only plans with port-out limitations I know of.

1. SIMBA
https://support.simba.sg/hc/en-us/sections/4416126079769-Porting
https://support.simba.sg/hc/en-us/articles/5020380241561-Is-there-a-fee-when-I-port-out-from-SIMBA

An activation fee of $30 is chargeable for port-out within 30 days of plan activation.
Porting out of lucky number? Please refer to the terms and conditions here.

2. Zym
https://zym.sg/faq/port-in/
You can terminate your plan and port out your number after 2 months, as per our Terms and Conditions (Minimal subscription for a non-contract plan is 2-month).

Hi Gurus. That "S$9.90 for one year - 5G 0.98TB with 8GB roaming" promo code thingy, what is the catch (if any)? The 980G data is one-off not per month? Or not contract free, have to be locked in for a year? Or CL as M1 MVNO has terrible reception? (have used Maxx before, did notice the signal seems worse than Singtel MVNOs, but not unusable)

Thanks in advance.

Maybe can share which promo code you are looking at. Usually $9.90 means price per month, if you say 1yr means promo price at $9.90 for one year and should have clause stating revert to X price thereafter. The data is monthly basis. CL plans are usually no contract unless stated otherwise but they do have a 2 months lock in period before you can port out. Read their FAQ for more info.

Signal wise YMMV. Some can get really good signal while others cannot. My suggestion is you sign up 2nd line to test. Not happy just terminate after. Happy then you port in.

Yes, I'm referring to the one Xiaofan shows screenshot above. Wondering if there is any catch. I'm using CMLink and with the non-Singtel port in perk, I'm effectively paying $7.5/mo. So this CL promo isn't attractive to me. But my wife is currently with GOMO's $18.33 plan, so this CL 9.9 might be good for her. (plus she can become non-Singtel again and can consider jumping back to Singtel MVNOs with the non-Singtel perks in the future)

Wife one better ask her. Like i said. YMMV depending on where she goes. With the move to 5G SA soon for ST MVNOs, the price of $15 likely to stick until Simba merger concludes. Happy wife happy life. You decide.

Try the three months free CL 5G trial first as a new line to see how she like it before commiting. Please refer to Post #3104 in this page for more details. Promotion code is CLMC1400GB5GIPHONE17A. The promotion says iPhone but it seems to me no need to buy iPhone.

My wife is using the same SingTel S$15.28 per month recontract offer that I am using. I will not change her line to a cheaper line any time soon.

Based on my testing, M1 Maxx 5G and CL 5G perform pretty well, better than eight 4G and SIMBA anyway. I would also choose them over SingTel 4G. But SingTel 5G plan will still be more consistent.

My ranking for the plans I have tested, for local usage.

1. SingTel SIM Only 5G, my main line
2. M1 Maxx 5G and CL 5G
3. StarHub Prepaid S plan 5G
4. SingTel hi! 4G
5. eight 4G and CUniq 4G
6. SIMBA

In the end I will keep the following lines.

1. SingTel SIM Only 5G at S$15.28 per month (recontract offer, 12 months contract), my main line. This line is good for local usage.

My wife is also using this plan as her main line.

2. StarHub Prepaid S plan 5G at S$3 per month (Happy Prepaid Card migration offer), mainly for number parking (my old number).

My wife has this S$3 plan as well (her old number).

3. eight 4G at S$8 per month, effective price at S$4 per month for the next 22 months due to the S$88 one to one top-up offer, for roaming and backup.

Thanks the useful info, Xiaofan and AMD_Duron (only 90s kids remember this awesome value CPU lol).

One more question regarding the "free" trial. It says revert to 400G for $15 when the trial ends, means cannot use the 980G for $9.9 for one year when that happens? :ROFLMAO:

You may have to port out first and then port-in for the S$9.9 offer.

My suggestion is to sign up a new line for the 5G free trial, terminate it no matter it is good or bad before the end of free 5G trial.

Good --> port your wife's number to the S$9.9 for 980GB 5G CL promotion.
Bad --> just forget about CL.

In short. Test first with free trial. Happy then port in. Not happy just terminate before trial ends.
