Yea I left my job earlier this year, and you are right I did retire with a barbell kind of portfolio, 50% in bonds and 50% in equities. I added some risk to my equity portfolio by cutting some index ETFs in favour of some single stocks so there’s more risk in that bucket now.
yes, i believe tat calc our (liquid) networth is just the 1st step, so that we can set new objectives and rebalance the portfolio. it is like a personal annual report.

So I FIRE’d earlier this year but my networth increased by 700k to ~5.2m anyway (excludes cpf since I have no access to it till 55) despite the lack of income from day job.
solid return with a 50/50 balanced portfolio (y)

Targetted to hit USD1M liquid this year, which I estimated would be SGD1.3m. I am still a bit off but due to USD weakening to less than SGD1.29, managed to hit USD1M liquid in 2025😁. though this can fluctuate further😅

Thats my plan. To live off my dividends and yet have a growth component portfolio
With so much time available to do technical screening and indepth analysis, you'll be surprised how much money you can make from single stocks or more volatile ETFs.

What is ur recurring dividend per month? Actually I calculated and I think I can survive on $2000 a month.

net worth went up by 20% YOY (of which 15% was from the past 6 months).

It has indeed been an exceptional two years since Dec 2023. Net worth was up 53% in two years. Unlikely I would see such growth sustained over next few years. Will still use annual increase of 7-10% as a base case until I choose to retire.

How much liquid cash do you all keep? For myself, it's about 200k. I try not to touch it for any investment purpose.

most of the time just 150k with UOB One account. But I am carrying slightly more at the moment since collected some bonus last month which will be used to DCA over the next 4 months.

Because I have stable passive income coming in every month, I have gradually lowered the amount of cash in my bank account. For most of this year, its been under $50k.
