do you have other high value M1 telco plans ? after discount, mine is still 34.9 a month.

the Asus RT-BE92U sold in carousell are all above $300, if you buy from M1 it's only $9x24=216, isn't it cheaper?
Sorry late reply... I'm afraid am not aware of other plans from M1. The discounted 10gbps plan at $29.90 (no router) is reflected in the M1 app and also on-site in their system. So signing up was a breeze.

As for the Asus RT-BE92U router bought from Carousell, yes I was lucky. I just spammed a few listings as $200 but of course messaged the seller something nice like "Thank you for your consideration, I can self collect below your block or condo". Maybe I thick skinned or low ball, I dunno.... Willing seller willing buyer? Haha

Edit (added screenshot):

I am not billed with the new plan yet, so cannot show you proof. Tried looking at the contract, this is the breakdown...

You are right

I can see it in my app too, 29.90 for 10gbps fibre recontract. (There is also the option of 37.90 for 6gbps.)

Yes yes! Forgot to mention this, the 6gbps plan was somehow more expensive. So I took the bait and went with the lowest-cost 10gbps plan..

Do be mindful or look for suitable plan towards end of contract. Costs $135 after promo/ end of contract!

1. Indeed. S$29.90 for M1 10Gbps recontract seems to be a very good price.

M1 Christmas offer for 10Gbps plan without router (only from M1 physical shop) --> S$30.90 for new users, S$34.90 for recontract.

Now the Christmas offer has ended. New user 10Gbps offer is at S$34.90 per month now. And it is not too bad already that you get S$34.90 per month for recontract.

2. As for the pricing of RT-BE92U, for BNIB unit, it is indeed better to get from M1.

Same for Archer BE805, for BNIB unit, it is better to get from M1 at S$10 x 24 = S$240.

On the other hand, some users may want to get a second hand one. Then the price varies a lot. One of the report here shows one user bought an Archer BE805 at below S$100.
Is the BE805 better than RT-BE92U? AI told me BE805 has a lot of wireless dropping off issues. Anyone with experience?

thanks, recontracted at 34.90, strange a few bros here have additional $5 discount, but mine was just $5. anyway it is what it is.

for USB adapter, thinking of getting the comfast CF-985BE to pair up with teh Asus BE92U, would you recommend that?

Thanks, what I meant was do you have other high value mobile phone plans with M1 and that's why they give you additional $5 discount, was only given $5 discount for the recontract. additional discount seems to be case by case and not applied to all m1 subscribers.

Personally I don't recommend Comfast CF-985BE or any WiFi 7 USB adapters based on RealTek chipsets (RTL8912AU and RTL8922AU) now.

My test results in this thread. The main problem is stability -- the device may disappear from Windows Laptop/Desktop for no reasons in my testing.

Same same, no matter from TP-Link or Asus or Comfast. They do not offer much advantage in terms of speed comparing to WiFi 6 USB adapters as they do not support 320 MHz channel bandwidth on the 6GHz band.

But if you want to take the risk, just go ahead and tell us the results.

I heard that the $29.90 10 Gbps is only offered to customers very near the end of their contact, like in their 22nd or 23rd month. I reached 20 months, just nice can recontract, went to M1 shop to ask about any promos for recontracting and the staff advised me to wait for another few months for them to push the promo down. Purposely holding the good promos only for those very near the end of their contracts.

I suspect it has got to do with what ur current plan is. My current plan is the 1+1gbps and I got offered $34.90 to recontract. Maybe those offered $29.90 were on 1gbps plan or lower?

Just installed new modem.

Test results (2 concrete walls in between client and router):

1Gbps plan:

Wifi 6 Router (TUF AX4200) + In-built Wifi 6 card on mobo
343 Mbps / 229 Mbps (5Ghz)

6 Gbps plan:

Wifi 7 Router (TP Link BE805) + In-built Wifi 6 card on mobo
920 Mbps / 518 Mbps (5Ghz)

Wifi 7 Router (TP Link BE805) + Wifi 7 USB Adapter TP Link TBE400UH
1430 Mbps / 804 Mbps (5Ghz)
1443 Mbps / 1114 Mbps (6Ghz)

1430 Mbps / 804 Mbps (5Ghz)
1443 Mbps / 1114 Mbps (6Ghz)

Pretty good results.

For far range, the two small antenna of the TP-Link Archer TBE400UH (or Comfast CF-983BE) does help to improve the signal reception and wireless speed. But you can see 6GHz performance and 5GHz performance are similar. 6GHz may have an advantage of less interferences from the neighbours but it also has an disadvantage for far distance.

The major concern for me is still the stability side. If it is stable for your system, then that is good.

Another thing, TP-Link Archer BE805 has pretty good wireless coverage.

So far so good and yes i waited almost a month for BE805 to be in stock due to better wireless range, and maybe some synergy? with the Tp Link USB adapter which I bought earlier.

In terms of real world difference, i do notice faster buffering for 4K videos. The previous 1Gbps plan will take longer to load 4K videos and may switch to 1440p if quality is set to auto.

not bad.... wifi7 going through 2 concrete walls can still perform pretty well.

As a 15 years singtel boardband user, finally I switch to M1 today.

M1 boardband test result:
1. IPv6 is back. I lost IPv6 for 1.5 years because of singtel boardband ipv6 support issue
2. Connection to china is faster than singtel. I tried both china IPTV and china home camera, it's faster than singtel.
