The new self service POS has different UI from the older version .... and I cannot find gift card option, thus I ask and confirm with staff, say not supported .....

Of course the staff said "will be supported in the future", though I will not take that comment as official statement from the company ....

I am sharing it here to raise awareness, not to find fault with the company .....

A visit last evening to the same store with the new POS, can see gift card option already, but did not try as my gift card was $0 ......

I'm staying put for now with the Tax rebate until March. my current cycle is Feb - Apr. so I may leave after Apr and refund CPF...

it's quite surprising that in a blink of an eye, the $150k has been parked there like a fixed deposit for so long.

If it is done at Fairprice cashier counters, yes .... the payment transactions are no different and not distinguishable from if you are buying groceries ......
