Not so sure when SingTel can really shut down the 5G NSA network.

I am taking MRT now from Dhoby Ghaut to Punggol. The signal strength seems to be pretty decent. However the connection is 5G NSA and not 5G SA.

I am using the SingTel SIM Only S$15.28 per month plan.

North South Line, SingTel SIM Only S$15.28 plan, Poco X7 Pro, 5G NSA connection.

You can see the speed is very bad. But I am still able to browse HWZ forum.

For those that sign up for singtel sim only, do check your bills (or let me know if there's something I'm unaware of).

I'm currently on the singtel $15 sim-only plan since March 2025, and my bill this month (for January) was more than double the amount!

Re-checked my bill against my contract, apparently they charged me $30 + $5 caller ID when the original contract was $15 with free caller ID till March 2026.

My guess is that the original plan 'expired' and they charged normal prices, contrary to the contract...
Super unethical and I've feedback to singtel, awaiting their response.

Better write it and I believe ST will sort it out.

When is the contract expiry date stated in the contract? What is the period billed, which date to which date?

Always recontract on the 11th month to avoid these nonsensical charges

anyone recently helped their parents to sign up for the Singtel Senior Plan of $6?

I helped my father to sign up early this week and was confused about the bill amt in the Singtel app.

Tried to view the bill but there's an error message.

Also realised the 5G network is NSA and not SA. Seems like this plan has lowest 5G priority.

Called 1688 but the CSO is not helpful. He just mentioned they will check and get back to me on the bill issue and 5G network. Seems like Singtel CSO are just robots and cant give concrete solutions.

I think the next bill they will 'refund' the amount billed to the previous contract, right?

I also don't quite understand the 'recontract on the 11th month' thingy. if SingTel did not send any invite to recontract, how to actually recontract?

Which app are you using to get this info? :o

Their CSOs aren't exactly the brightest, so he could really be looking for answers himself...

Recontract doesn't always have to wait for them to invite.

Some links of different plans have been shared here for a while already. Just need to submit the form of your preferred and wait for their reply. If they accept your application they'll send you a new contact, just have to check that and wait for the appropriate billing.

MySingtel app

and the strange thing is the 1-yr contract starts on 3 Feb 2026, but the 1st billing period is from 15 Jan to 14 Feb, which dont make sense. Surely the 1st month is from 3 Feb to 2 Mar?

Oh, i mean the app that shows you're on NSA and not SA.

IIRC ST billing is pro-rated when there's a new contract running. First billing will show partial from previous contract and the rest new.

oh, the app is Network Cell Info Lite.

Even in nPerf app, it show 5G NSA.

Btw, this is his 1st Singtel contract which starts on 3 Feb 2026, there's no previous contract, so it doesnt make sense to have a starting date of 15 Jan 2026.

I find that Singtel has a strange way of billing, where it's not based on the first day you joined or start the contract/plan.

for my case, I joined them on 8 Jan but they billed me from 8 to 22 Jan, and charged me in advance from 23 Jan to 22 Feb. my 'billing period' is hence from 23rd of month X to 22nd of month (X+1)

I just signed up for the $15.28/mth plan recommended by @xiaofan - hopefully it won't be rejected. I expect them to refund me the pre-payment made until 22 Feb... say if I'm successful in the new plan wef 9 Feb then they should be charging me the new plan from 9 to 22 Feb and refund me the amount I have paid on the old plan from 9 to 22 Feb.

... does it make sense?
