& not only Taiwan, even S.Korea, the 4G put SG to shame liao ... go mountain go tunnel ... I don't think I lost signal sia ...

You got to lay out the whole chain of people tied into this product — all the folks driving up costs across both public and private, without adding the product itself into the picture.
And honestly, the scope here goes way beyond what you just mentioned.

Dear forum members,

I realize that if one uses Eight data to watch YouTube, there is a message "Sign in to confirm you are not a bot", I do not want to sign in. Besides changing to another telco, what other options do I have? Thanks.

Just tried using iPhone with Adguard.

Opened Youtube with Safari, everything played normal (with ads). Never encounter the "Sign in to confirm you are not a bot".

Tried with both Eight and Simba.
That's good. Another suggestion for you is to use Brave Browser. It blocks ads and trackers, including YouTube ads. I have been using for years liao, can be installed on phones and computers

Thank you all for your suggestions.

I'm using Eight mobile data as my hotspot.

Yes I am using Brave browser for my Windows PC. And I encountered the sign in message.

On my iPhone, I installed Adguard but to no avail.

I tested with SIMBA and I do not encounter the sign-in message when watching YT on a browser or using YT app either on PC or iPhone.

So I concluded that it must be Eight's IP being blacklisted....

I can work around this by using a VPN. But very cumbersome to use VPN as it slows down the speed especially on mobile data and with congested traffic.

Thanks for the tips.

Am using Orion with uBlock Origin, also no ads.

Used Safari to test since most "normal" user will be using the default browser :D

Did you try on off airplane mode? It may reestablishing new IP address and solves I am not a Bot problem.

There is no necessity to install Adguard.
Just go to Private Dns setting, add "dns. adguard.com"
And you are good to go

eight 4G LTE versus SingTel hi! Prepaid 5G NSA

Same Poco X7 Pro phone, similar signal strength of -93 dBm.

West side

eight S$8 plan, 4G LTE, StarHub 4G network is pretty decent in this case.
