Hi peeps...I have a question regarding change of ownership. I understand that Simba doesnt allow such change so I have to port out to ST, M1 or SH. Is that correct?

What is the most economical way of changing ownership and then porting back to Simba?

TIA.

yes. Simba does not allow change of ownsership. You have go to zym route. Both owner must go down to Samsung store to do the port in.

via cmlink. get a new number first. opt for esim if u want faster. then port over ur number and change ownership at the same time via online. you can port back to simba after its done. pls do within same month so to avoid next billing.

Is it for free? Do you mean there is no lock-in period at all?

i did it last year. there was no lock in. just port out within same month and make sure simba successfully ported in before end month. i applied at start of month and when cmlink was successful, i immediately ported out. which takes less than two weeks for me. it's not exactly free cos u paying that first one month of cmlink. if u worried bout deductions, just remove ur cc on cmlink site. but so far i din encounter any issues neither any deductions.

*must get new line/new number first. then do port in. must make sure u submit change of ownership at same time when u port in. need submit ic photo of previous owner front and back. previous owner will get otp from cmlink. u need to type it in and the submit.

Can I go to the partner shop (near my home) to do the port-in and change of ownership instead of online?
according to their t&c, either online or at their CSC, which is at either JEM or PLQ.

11. Transfer of Ownership
11.1. This refers to a change in the registered owner for an existing CMLink number, from the current owner to
another person.
11.2. CMLink supports the transfer of ownership for CMLink services. However, such transfers are subject to
conditions including both the current and new registered customers fulfilling CMLink's requirements for customer
identity validation and settlement of any outstanding payments.
11.3. Transfer of ownership requests can only be processed at our CMLink Service Centre (CSC).

hi your info not accurate. i just went in see again and the link shows still can port. pls go to singapore cmlink webpage. click top right hand side. pls click the link "support" >> "number port" >>"number not under your name". pls click in and read. it still shows can be done online. if still in doubt, pls contact customer service direct and ask.

*do not go to global cmlink website. go to singapore cmlink website.*

Thank you to @nix4303 and @Charlie_Zhan for the info.

Went to check out CMLink SG website. There is an option to port in and ownership transfer via online. However the T&C states that ownership transfer must be done in CMLink HQ at PLQ. So a contradiction.

@nix4303: so if I need to purchase a new SIM from CMLink, what happened to this new number after the port-in? Do I need to terminate it?

dont mention it.. ^.^

idk why t&c says otherwise but i personally had asked support live chat last year to confirm.

unless they really changed it now but i doubt so. their website still shows can be done til date.

new cmlink number will be overwritten when successfully ported in your number. so you don't need do anything.

I am on $12 plan. On SIMBA apps, on the balance entitlements show, APAC + CN, SK, JP, AU

Isn’t only those on higher plan has JP, AU?

$12 plan only APAC + CN+SK.

Only the Super Roam 13, $13 plan have APAC + CN+ SK+ JP +AU.

I just ported into $12 plan. I only see APAC + CN + SK on my app.

You sure yours is 12? It should be 13.
