Already stop using YouTrip to top up when it imposed 1% fee last year and later increased to 2% this year~

Methods to top up without fee, see the earlier replies~ :s22:

Noted. Yes, I dont like the 2% fee.

May I know which is the best option according to your experience?

Western Union & Panda Remit offer free first time transfer, the exchange rate is about same as youtrip or better~ thereafter there's a $2 & $4 fees for Union & Panda respectively~

I find Western Union app is not user friendly, registration needs more steps~ that's the down side of WU~

For Panda If you want to enjoy subsequent free transfer, you needs to transfer $3k amount, alternative you can request free voucher from their Whatsapp group admin~ downside of Panda it's that the transfer is not instant, 2hrs to a day~ Sunday is not working day~

Buying reload pins need more steps, use youtrip to withdraw cash from ATM then go 7-11 or Watson etc to buy reload pins and add to TNG ewallet "non transferrable" balance~ good thing is you no need to register another app just to top up TNG~

If only want to top up small amount, then I'll use reload pins, else I probably will use Panda and request voucher for my next top up~ :s22:

I tried to buy Reload Pins from Watson's and MyNews. They do not allow credit card payment for Reload Pins.

so Panda is the only way to top up that has no fees?

I'd replied few times already~ The methods I know without fee are:

1. Msia bank accounts;
2. Reload pins;
3. Panda Remit (first time free, subsequently need to ask for voucher from chatgroup);
4. OCBC (min RM960);
5. Western Union (first time free only)

Seems to be Malaysia bank only for regular small value topups to TnG transferrable balance. Does anyone have experience opening a CIMB account in MY?

CIMB SG will only help on form filling and dispatching to CIMB MY.

All other CIMB MY matters thereafter account holders have to liase directly with MY side.

All these info and sharings can be found in the link to the Malaysian Bank Account discussion thread provided in the post you just replied to.

I'm just going to grab the nearest Malaysian colleague and give them physical cash or youtrip money in exchange for them topping up my TNG account

More people are using Panda Remit from the chat group I'm in~

just request the coupon from the admin, his response is quite fast~ he will give the coupon directly to your panda account so that you can apply for coupon to offset the $4 fee when you do a transfer to your TnG e-wallet~ :s22:

As of 1503h, YouTrip rate was 3.155 while Panda was 3.1543~ it's quite close to market exchange rate~

If you dun need TnG e-wallet then just stick to YouTrip~ :s22:

I dont mind integrating cashless payments because accumulating RM1 notes to pay for street vendors and taxi gets tiring fast

I'll check out Panda remit

Can you link me to the chat group to get voucher :D
