Lol. That’s what I thought also. Running 70-80km per week, I thought I can indulge in any food I want. But without counting calories, I was actually eating way more than I was burning. Maybe too much fast food and bubble tea lol.
Unfortunately, we are Singaporean runners. Most of us is run to eat. Run a lot mileage, then justify to ourself we can eat all the durians and CKT.
Precisely my issue but I think before marathon this year, I have to cut down.

Did my first 42km over at putrajaya SCORE marathon over the weekend. Managed to complete it but got hit with a knee injury at around 32km mark. Had to run/walk the last 10km, longest 10km of my life. My longest training distance was also only 32km and I was also not prepared for the rolling hills in putrajaya. but still happy to finish my first fm.

I still feel slight pain on the lower lateral outside of my right knee. Is this a common runner's knee injury from elevation?
s/n, my taobao pair of red hare 9U was really bouncy throughout the whole course :s12: makes me wanna try feidian 6E next

@Skyrillex Long time no see. Any updates on if you have reached your sub 3?
Yo, I just realised that I haven't been using hwz for awhile now so thanks for asking.

Sub-3 not yet, but still not giving up as of now. I'll run the BYD marathon FM this year so something to work out for, although the chances are not big, and not much desire to race overseas nowadays.

Not sure if total distance to and fro is FM 42.195km or not.....
edit - yeah, from Hillview to Guillemard (Geylang PCN) is 26km+ 1 way liao. Shall leave it @ Hillview also, think the trail to the north of that (Cashew/new CMPB towards Woodlands) is a bit hardcore for normal hard surface type running.
If more adventurous and route to ECP and then airport T2 then i think 80km also possible to and fro. (i dont think runners like to do TMCR so i wont go overboard here)

Next weekend can run on RC from Hillview all the way through CBD to MBS and then Geylang/Guillemard/Paya Lebar areas nicely liao.

Cantonment station path connecting to RC is open and the remaining part of RC between Spooner and Henderson is opening next weekend (friday last day of re-construction)

In 2027 when the 2 bridges are open, can cross Marina Bay Reservoir even more scenically and enjoyably. (i think xllms likes this project very much)

LHS is the old KTM railway signal station. Photo taken today.

Yeah.....for those who wants to try either way, shd be around Hillview MRT / Hillview Connect tunnel area is the limit. Unless if you trail runner.
New CMPB is still trail surface.

Damn fast zhar boh. Recreational runner, working full time + mum, plus the hot weather now in Europe

I think optimal weather conditions she could do 15:20-15:30 totally no issue at all assuming that she is at BEST merely moderately acclimatized (as most Brits are, their heatwave(s) just started not too long ago)

Crazy progress. Really no reason he can't comfortably smash 20 mins in Dec

Oh yes, he is 63
