DNS-323 Network Storage

Hi,

Just wish to find out, for this NAS if install MLdonkey, how is the download speed?? Currently, I'm using Planex NAS-01G, the download speed is inconsistent, so would like to know how this NAS performs??

depends on source and seed of the torrent

yes just remember to do port forwarding in ur router

Gota question regarding DDNS setting.

Got registered with dlinkddns and everythings works fine.

But i have received past 2 days of "abuse" updating with the same IP address.

The first time mabe because i am updating the firmware.

btw the refresh is set to default 576 hrs.

is there somthing that I need to look into that is setting off the alarm bells?

in ur router, port forward the port u wan and point to the ip address of ur dns323 and port 80

coz u set both yr router and your DNS-323 with DDNS. only 1 is needed. that's all.

I don't think my router have any DDNS.
it's a 2Wire ( singnet ).

my dns 323 is currently connected to the rj45 port of my 2wire adsl modem, while a laptop connects wirelessly to the same 2wire modem.

i'm having a poblem when i connect an external hard drive or thumb drive via usb in the laptop. when i double click on the icon of the dns 323, it shows the contents of either the external hard drive or the thumb drive connected to the usb port of the laptop. the usual window for the "removable drive" also doesn't show up.

Means must flash to 3rd party firmware?

if you flash it.. your modem wouldnt be able to log you in into Singtel mainframe.. i too wonder why.. i've tried it once with the original firmware budden it doesnt work(tried it for awhile only)..

don't ask me where i obtain the files from.. couldn't remember.
