Do note Roomba is more automatic compared to Sccoba where you have to be around to change the tank.
Both have their applications. I use Roomba more than scooba though....

Hi Mosmos,

I am interested to get a Scooba from HSN. I have UOB and Citibank credit cards. Can you advise me, is it better to pay by credit cards or paypal and roughly how much is the shipping charge? Thank you very much for your help.

Woot ****ted again! :(

This will definitely cost the shipping cost to SG to >60 & hope it wont reach 100.

Well, I dropped a note to woot on this and hope they will 'help' us in the future.

Got my 340+535 combo from HSN:s12:

The 340 turns out to be a 380 (model 6050) with a grey 4400mah battery.

Initial impressions, the Scooba is very much noisier than the Roomba. When it hits an object or an edge, the correction movement is not as smooth as a Roomba, probably due to the tight spacing around the bumper. After the initial 16 hour charge and filling up the tank, the Check Tank light kept coming up and it refused to run. Used the included pump to prime/pump air in for a couple of times and it still would not run. Took the battery out and reseated it in and finally it started on the cleaning cycle. It ran for 40 minutes and went to drying mode for 5 minutes before the power light turned red.

The marble floor was pretty much dry after its run and there was still some water left in the clean tank. Hopefully with more charging cycles the battery will be up to par.

As for the Roomba 535, much better than the 4230 Scheduler as its quieter and slows down when approaching objects.

Nice family of bots u have Sherwin! Looks like a good snag for the 340+535 combo! :D The battery should be a 4100mAh high capacity model, giving u slightly more than 2 complete cleaning cycles. How did u charge the battery for the initial 16hr charge? Did u charge it through the bot or did u use the included external charging base? Did u use it immediately after the 16hr charge or did u leave it inside Scooba?
