Haven't been on this thread for a while... hope everyone is still interested in knives. Manage to score a few new ones last few months. Following are on the way to SG.
- Kershaw JYDII
- Kershaw JYDII Titanium SG2
- Spyderco Ocelot
With any luck I'd also have the following knives in by the end of the month...
- Spyderco Lum Chinese Folder
- Spyderco Lava
- Spyderco Millitary Orange
Spyderco has been coming out with a lot of new knives last 1 month and they're bleeding my wallet dry. For those who have seen the Spyderco Tenacious the smaller version (2/3 the size) should hit the stores at the end of the month. Same steel, G10 handles and linerlock. MSRP is USD50 but I expect it to be available online for around USD30-35. Very good deal.
Latest version of the Manix with ball bearing lock has hit the stores too. The Manix 2 is priced at USD85 but is an almost new knife compared to the earlier ones. No S30V... Steel has been replaced with 154CM (not too shabby) with a hollow grind. I'd prefer if they kept it to FFG like the original. I'd have snapped up a few if they did. The next version will be FFG and bigger than the original Manix which is crazy as it is already a monster of a folder.
The SageII is out too... and all I can say is... Titanium Framelock! Wish Benchmade would get their act together. This year's offerings are very disappointing. The 760 LFTi is their only nice new knife but it's fraught with QC problems.
Hope to post a bit of knife porn soon...
