I was thinking of connecting the nook to the PC, register it, transfer my books from My eBook Library in B&N and then play with till batt is completely drained. Thereafter, I will charge it.

The link by loretta is helpful. I encountered before and the method provided by support staff of B&N is the same. Normally take out battery and put back would solve thou. Its some sort of residue charge issue if not wrong.

I think it could be that my batt is drained... even though it is indicated 26% charged on my Nook. Cos the last time I charge it was when I 1st received my Nook and that was like last thurs or Fri....

Hope it works... wish me luck.

sage_yeo : no worries, should work for that method. Nowadays batteries need a few charges cycles to calibrate normally. Its advisable not to drain the newer batteries unlike last time. notably for notebks for e.g, 20% is the limit as advised by battery tech sites.

Thks! Well, yeh, my batt is indeed drained (even though it says 26% charge)... I took out the batt and plug onto my pc, immediately it responded. Then I put back the batt\ and unplug from pc, the message I got was "Critical Batt Alert: Your Nook's battery charge is too low to operate. Please charge your Nook using the wall charger. Your Nook will turn on when it has enough charge"

So... plug it back to the pc again and hopefully it will turn on after an hr's or so charge....

Oh congrats Tuakong on the arrival of your Nook!:D
