My 6 cell batt for t410 only last 2hour 10mins. If heng can last 2hr 30mins

Sad batt life

Is it because you were on the dedicated graphics when on battery? I noticed my T400 with switchable graphics does not switch automatically when I run it on battery and the battery life is also very bad. But once I manually switch it to run on the integrated card, i can get excellent battery life.

Oh. T410 no switchable graphic. Sad. The wifi card draw a lot of power. 1hour more batt life if turn off the wifi

2hours + on "normal" setting ??

50% brightness + wifi

it is still not bad... at i switch the brightness to the lowest though... but only manage to get one hour plus only...

dose the x201 comes with bluetooth for the polys' sets? i saw on the bluetooth logo on the brochure..but my x201 doesnt seem to come equipped with it.

went to 2 different shops to try to get the gobi2000.

the prices quoted was 249 and 299. when i asked why it was higher then the website quoted price, they said that its because the official online price doesnt include shipping and tax.

i believe its an offence to list prices without including gst right? will try to get from ibm again and if it doesnt work i'll get it from the forum seller.

rubbish from the shop. Thats the selling RRP for the shops. 249 is a ok price liaoz. considering they mark up a lot from their channel pricing.

didnt go to MC2. actually when ibm did have stock for it a couple of months back the quoted price was under 200 inclusive of gst and 1 year warranty. delivery charge was flat 70 dollars though.

ginseng1, addon systems in funan have stocks for X60 4cell battery.

actually lenovo web prices tend to be misleading for many stuffs... i know the cost of the Gobi 2000 card and i can understand why no resellers want to sell @ $229. the resellers dun mark up much, it is the local distribution cost for some options that are very high. eg SSD option in SG is about 3 times higher than US.

Hi guys. just to check. Any owners of X201 tried to plug in an SD card into the SD card slot for use as Win 7 readyboost? Care to share your experience?

I'm using the Sandisk SDHC Ultra (Speed= 15MB/s) 16 GB now for readyboost, notice that performance is slightly faster. But I'm just wondering if I were to get the Sandisk Extreme (Speed= 30MB/s) SDHC card, will it speed up further? Some card readers may not be able to hit that kind of speed.
Anyone tried benchmarking the in-built SD card reader?

About 4hrs - 4.5hrs with integrated card on my T400 6 cell battery. If heng can get about 5hrs - 5.5hrs with Bluetooth off, Wifi on.

Indeed sad. How come your Wifi card so power hungry ah. Is it normal for all new Intel Wifi cards to behave this way?

Yes, have Bluetooth.

Did you enable it? If it is enabled, you should see a Bluetooth logo on the panel of lights on your LCD bezel. Else, activate it by pressing Fn+F5 (press Fn key, hold and press F5).

The T410 does come with Nvidia discrete and Intel integrated graphics cards right?

It's strange for Switchable Graphics to be missing in that case.

only available for T410s. cause T410 is a low cost entry level system for their thinkpad models, so they did not include it.
