The original TF10 cable is indeed stiff. Well, I suggest for those who has the budget for it, you may like to get it replaced with the various compatible cables such as the Westone ES2, Null Audio Lune Cable, etc.

For those who do not yet wish to spend the money, why not try burning-in for at least 50 hrs and use it till the cable gives way? You can get it replaced thereafter.

:)

Reshelling replaces the shell of the original IEM shell. You have to take a ear impression and send it together with your IEM. Currently, the most common around is UM (United Melody) in China. Cost will be higher than the TF10 you paid for in Amazon. But it's custom fit! :s7:

We can change the cables ourselves or go to Stereo or Jaben to have them replaced.

If you can, test out the cable to see if you like the sound signature. I bought my Westone ES2 cable, plug it in the first day and replaced it back with my original cable. My ES2 has been sitting in my cabinet for weeks already!

Cos this phone so old, i don't dare to start thread!

ES cable is decent replacement, as i think it would be more durable!

Can bros with different cable and tips give slight more detail review for everyone reference?

TWag cable is from Whiplash Audio. $225 USD without shipping. I guess slightly below $300 sgd total :)
They also got options for TWSpc and TWcu which are cheaper options than TWag.

Introducing the new standard in stranded silver wire; TWag. Custom made and developed over 2 years from CryoParts.

When flexibility and performance is needed, the Elite TWag replacement cable is your perfect match!!

Made from the newly advanced TWag CFDCT-UP-OCC high stranded silver wire. Terminated with the amazing sounding Viablue 3.5mm connector. The TWag is specially cryogenically treat by CryoParts using the exclusive "CryoFreeze" process.

For more information on CryoFreeze, you can find more information on CryoParts website:

www.cryo-parts.com/whycryo.html

Wire details:

www.cryo-parts.com/cryoparts_twag.html

This also comes in black earpiece connectors!! Please email me to indicate this. csanborn@whiplashaudio.com

The replacement cable measure comes with a Hand Made solid block of babenga wood. This helps to dampen the cable and adds to the overall look!!

But all these custom cables like lune and TWag cable use bigger jack than the original UE/Westone ones. That's one point to note. But the original UE cable will spoil very easily because it's straight one not "L" shaped like the westone/jha cables. Another option would be the JH cables and Westone ES2 cables. JH cables i'm not really sure but i've seen people selling their stock cable from their jh customs for about $30-50. Westone ES2 cables would cost $66 alone + $6/8 for filing at stereo.
