anyone using shoe tree for their boots? or they are not meant to be used together in the first place?

cos i find shoe trees mostly for dress shoes.. but it helps removing the moisture inside, doesnt it?

Iron Ranger and Round Toe
thanks, but im referring to the soles.

the iron ranger one is not totally flat, like dress shoes soles but more rugged. the round toe's one is like sneakers kind, flat to the ground

should the best fitting be very snug like your toes touching the tip of the shoes or some room space for the feet to move slightly?

Hi, may I know what lace would you recommend to go with the 3140 chukka? I find that the stock shoelace won't last long....

im interested in the chukka.. but i want to own a full boot (dont know if there is a word for it, but those boots that are like Iron Ranger etc)

but yet again im worried about the difficulty to take out the boots like IR when I have to enter places that require me to take out the boots

sorry guys for the noob questions.

i am interested in the Classic RW Black Moc Toe boots.

however, after researching for abit.

i realise rw at suntec retails them for 400+ ? and theres sellers in HWZ doing MO for as less as $280 to 300++

is there a difference in quality ? i heard they're made in different countries...

They're prob selling factory seconds.

I bought 1 off eBay too. Just collected from SingPost today. USD$79.90 factory seconds 875 for my old man. :D

photo_1.jpg

Looking good.

photo_2.jpg

No defects. Notice the punched holes on the tongue? I guess its by Red Wing to distinguish it being factory seconds. Nicely printed on the shoe box are the words "FACTORY SECONDS" too.

photo_3.jpg

Notice the scratch at the heel area? Nothing serious thou. Nothing that you won't get on your boots after couple of wears.

photo_5.jpg

Red marks on the sole.

For this price, I'll say it's very worth it. Cos all are cosmetic 'defects' if you wanna call them that. I dun mind, since Red Wings are meant to be grind. ;)

Glad that my dad likes it. First time he nvr kp me when I buy ex stuff. He saw my pair of Red Wings

and asked me, "Red Wings ah? How much?" When I told him $200+ he kept quiet. Being the frugal man that he is, I think that he must hav wanted it when he was younger. Saw the boots on eBay and decided to get for him. So now, we have a 62 yr old man rocking his Red Wings! Woot!

second this...

Thanks!!

No problem. But at this pricing, only left the odd sizes which I dun think you can wear. Size 13, size 4....

http://shop.ebay.com/papashoelo/m.h..._trksid=p3911.c0.m14.l1513&_vc=1&gbr=1&_pgn=7

The link above is all the items that the seller sells. It's the last page which I sorted by lowest price to highest. So you might want to check out the middle pages where there are retail quality 875s going for USD$149.99.
