the comply tips give me the best seal but I still find the bass a bit lacking.

Anyone knows where to get Sony hybrid tips from?

Stereo used to have it but I am not sure if they still do. I got mine from Sony service center.

you putting them in the right way? Like pulling your ear lobe OUT and UP before inserting the iems. TF10 has quite a V-shaped frequency response and there's quite a bit of bass. What earphones were you using before these? If they were very bass heavy then maybe you're just not used to the tf10 sound signature

Anyway, to guys having problems getting a good seal, always pull the earlobe OUT and UPWARDS while inserting the IEMs. You definitely need 2 hands to do it; it's not possible to get a good seal using only one hand. Takes a while to get the knack of it but once you do, you won't forget it

I always pull the earlobe before inserting IEMs like UM3X and SM3 and was able to do it with one hand. However, the housing of TF10 is slightly longer and there is a bulge near the nozzle. When using reverse mod, the angle of the cable also prevented me from placing it nicely. It is this frustration that pushed me to get custom IEM.

But when a proper seal is achieved, I am hearing things not heard with other IEMs.

how are you doing it? it takes at least 2 fingers to insert them, then the other 3 fingers has to pull the lobe perpendicularly to the insertion direction. You must be very dexterous :s13:

As you said, use two fingers to insert IEM then use thumb+index to pull ear lobe and middle finger to push the IEM. I did that with SM3/UM3X with double flange tips. Perhaps that made it easier to do so.

I just received mine this afternoon.

I got the black box one and the wire appears pretty good. Accessories are well packaged and the box is really nice.

From initial testing, rather than saying the mid is recessed or missing, I think it is more of the high being a little bit more emphasized and extended. Vocal appear to have very good airiness. Bass is there and it is quick, but it will definitely be lacking if you have always had iem that have goobs of bass.

I think it will go well with foam tips, rather sony hybrid or other silicon tips. From my limited experience, foam tip seems to make the sound darker, in fact too dark if your iem is well balanced in the first place. I am going to try some other foam tip for such.

Soundstaging is decent, width is good. However, I honestly think that it might require a decent source to really sound it is best.

Wear and fit SUCKS. I have never had so much trouble fitting on a pair of iem. With the silicon tips, it was constantly popping loose every other min. Perhaps it is because I have small ear holes. BTW, I typically use small size for sony hybrids. With the comply, I have no issue with it coming loose and losing seal. IMHO, the casing extends out too long such that all the weight is outside of the ear, making it prone to coming loose if the seal is not tight enough.

For USD95, I think it is absolutely a steal. However, if we are talking about paying normal retail...I honestly think it is not worth it leh.

there is a guide on logitech's site on replacing cables.

http://logitech-en-amr.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/12329/section/troubleshoot/crid/439/lt_product_id/5620/tabs/1,3,2,4,5/cl/us,en/kw/

Be careful the first time round. Do it slowly. The cables will come out eventually.

I wrestled with the cable on each side for about 1-2 mins.
\

WARNING!!! for people doing this the first time please take your time...reason being the ultimate ears triplefi 10 are now mass manufactured, there are more cases of people pulling their cable out along wif some part of the housing and the crossover...so please take ur time and vibrate it out....best options if u like the sound go remould it

anyone interested in Pelican micro cases for new UEs or other accessories?
Either #1010 (internal dimensions 11.1 x 7.3 x 4.3 cm) or #1030 (internal dimensions = 16.2 x 6.7 x 5.2 cm).
These are watertight and crushproof, but should not be submerged in water.

I can do a MO, but minimum order qty is 6 to make shipping worthwhile.
However, arrival will only be 10-12 days after order is placed.
Estimated prices:
#1010, black = SGD 22.50
#1010, other colours = SGD19.50
#1030, all colours = SGD 28.50

Please let me know if keen.
Terms tbd should MO actually materialize.

Update on interest check for Pelican cases - details above.
Folks that have expressed interest:
1. shawn_sboi (tentative) - 1010 clear/red
2. randomguy123 - 1010 clear/red
3. zhuang_zijian
4. noobzpro
5. ceestudent - 1010 clear/blue
