Lift up the model, go to the bottom side of the model.
(Side notes: All lines are created with reasons, eg. see line 11 at the bottom? If you are observant enough, you will notice line 12 and line 10 too. )

Before sculpturing.

After sculpturing.
Fold and curve the edges, so that they will look like this. Use a tweezer.

PIC-113
Almost there ... Only left the lower sides of the petals to scupture.

Finally ...
The completed product.

End of Level 1.

Like I said to my students, Level 1 roses are also beautiful gifts - but this is the BARE minimum standard they have to make. Otherwise the quality will not be there.

Patience , patience , patience ... =)

If you have completed level 1 and wish to proceed to level 2,
please email me at giftofgiftsrose@hotmail.com, together with the picture of your rose.
I am keeping a list first so I can form a group easily.

There are many various online instructions for level 1.

But for level 2 & 3 - stalks, leaves, central petals, roundness & rescaling etc - are not available online.

Since the instructions are not available online,
I have to self-design and create the new versions myself.

It started off with the blue rose head only and ended as an entire detailed stalk - which is my original personal designs.

We suggest you use brand new sheets of A4 white paper to first learn the folds taught through Formula11's photos and make the basic paper rose bud. That way, you need not be afraid to make mistakes and can practise more to get the 12 fold lines correct.

When you are confident and get all the 12 fold lines correct. You are ready to go Popular / Fancy Paper shop and buy the $1.50 sets of colour papers we would use.

We cut out the square paper from the A4 sheet. The square paper follows the breadth of the A4 paper you use.

Let's make this origami rose this one step at a time, when you have practised folding the 12 folds to make the basic rose bud successfully, we'll be happy to teach you how to make the leaves and stalks subsequently.

Hmm... would there be other classes available in future? The works are just too great for words. XD

You start to follow the photos instructions posted by Formula11 and try your hands to make the level 1 paper rose bud yourself.

When you are familiar with the folds, you can contact Formula11 or me to review and perfect your level 1 rose so you are ready to subsequently learn to make the complete rose. :)

Still a far cry from Formula11's standard. :o Gotta practise and make some more of it.
