I will be studying part time ACCA ,which provider your recommend? Kaplan, FTMS or SAA?

If Kaplan, for F4 and F5, which lecturers are better? Terence Tan vs Kweh Soon Han(F4) and Hoo Sen Kai vs Mary Tan(F5).

the lecturers mentioned are for which campus one? (Kaplan got 2 campus right)

Really appreciate if anyone can answer my queries.
Thanks

If for Kaplan, F4 take kweh for normal class and terrance for revision. Both lecturers are new to F5. so cant comment.
All the acca classes are held in the somerset campus.

Can I ask how does Intensive Classes work? Does it mean the classes, which starts later, are going to cover everything that required for the semester but more intense?

In NS now. Plan to enroll at Kaplan (because timetable is better), taking F4 to start off and see how for this July 11 intake. Which of them are recommended?

- Kweh Soon Han
- Terence Tan
- Dennis Sim

Thanks!

Intensive classes are usually for students who retake the paper and don't plan to go through the entire semester all over again. The lecturers would usually quickly cover the entire syllabus over perhaps 6 lectures and would emphasize on topics that are more important and would also cover past exam questions on a selective basis.

Each year they have 4 intakes.

January/July intake for new students to the subject or those who think they will fail.

March/September intake mostly for those who are retaking the subject as the results are release in February.

How many intakes do Kaplan have for ACCA?

So is it possible for new students to take the September intake? Most likely will end up with a stayout vocation for NS due to medical reasons, so I was wondering if it's possible for me to do F1 and F2 for that intake.

I did F1 with the catchup class(ie the September intake) as well when I first started out, it is a theory paper with quite many things to read up on. My suggestion is, get the reading materials, spend some time doing some reading before you go for the class.

But for F2, you need to have some basic costing knowledge in order for you to be more well aware of what is going on. I cannot say this paper is hard, but it can be quite challenging despite it being a MCQ paper.

So is it possible for new students to take the September intake? Most likely will end up with a stayout vocation for NS due to medical reasons, so I was wondering if it's possible for me to do F1 and F2 for that intake.

okie.. so F2 I will choose mary because is on thursday.
For F3 I am a bit tempted to choose T sarah because her class will be on friday, while Nicholas will be on mon and tues. Part time more tough if choose nicholas.

f4 and f6

Hi,

Can anyone advise me? I'm planning to take F4 and F6 for July intake. Is it advisable? Or I should take F4 and F5? And which lecturers should I go for F4, F5 and F6?

Thanks.

=)

Another question, do I need to sit for any tests before enrolling? I have a Diploma in Accountancy, graduated last year April. If I intend to enroll for July class, just apply and I am ready to start, am I right?

yup, but you may get credit exemptions from your Diploma. Do check with ICPAS if you are eligible, my guess is you may be exempt up to the 2nd level.
