Its my personal view and feel btw, its reviewed by other netizens from other countries too. with the same size tank and moves faster, it will leave the floor drier.

Jubooo, if want to answer ryan's question please answer him and not point out other's comment. Thanks.

Anyway, we sincerly apologise if there are any error on our website, to apologise to our customers, we will be offering a $10 discount to our customer's order, please quote hardwarezone to enjoy the promotion

My few recent discoveries:
During my course of repair work, I've seen a few Scooba 380 made in 2007 without pump rate control sensor to regulates speed for water dispensing.
Yesterday, I witnessed how Bakasa's 340 (34001 from Nov 07 batch) moves at speed similar to 335/350 (500 sq ft model).

That would explain the long ago inconsistency between Jubooo's 340 vs my 340 (which was really fast).

http://forums.hardwarezone.com.sg/showpost.php?p=48731446&postcount=7044

I can only conclude that 340 being a non-official model, doesn't need to conform to specification. So some 340 batches came with 335 motherboard.
Bakasa said the speed was same all along, it didn't become slower over time.

Clarification on Scooba charging base, only 1st gen 5900 comes with light blue charging base. 1st gen 5800 (made in 2006) doesn't come with charging base.
330 = 5800, but 5800 doesn't imply it's 330.

Roomba 440 is basically Roomba 4000 (single button Maroon/Light blue colour), except it'll respond to newer black Virtual Walls.
No dirt detect & no charging contact as forumer leong3k painfully found out: http://forums.hardwarezone.com.sg/showpost.php?p=53325559&postcount=7675

Ryancs, welcome to HWZ forum. If u're an iRobot newbie, u really should clarify ur doubts with old-timers like Jubooo & myself. Unless... u're an "Alter Ego".
Oh, BTW, active forumers who know better should point out inaccurate info (be it careless or deliberate). It's for the benefit of all other active forumers.

Scooba 330 is discontinued by irobot but there are still alot of stock in the market. If anyone interested should get it soon. scooba 350 and 380 will be the next in line.

question, where is the source saying that 350 or 380 is going to discon soon? Or is this pure speculation?

irobot.com - speculation or not i'm not very sure, what I understand is, irobot has stop selling scooba 330 on their website and stores there has already stop selling. Retailers in USA was also told by irobot that 330 will stop production.

Anyway, i sincerely apologise if there are any misunderstanding to fellow iRobot reviewers, repair shops or retail shop. From what i know 380 does the work with a drier surface. Google it and reviewers from other forum think so too.

Old timers here does not mean you are always right though, pointing out wrong info is definitely a way to go, but pointing out right info will mislead forumers here.

Thanks all for reading. remember to quote hardwarezone to enjoy discount. Not sure whether robovac able to give $100 discount for everyone. Hope he could clarify and not just mislead others.

Btw, I really like the 'Alter ego', I actually was thinking along that line too ... :)

Hi,

Have anyone try to order parts directly from irobot.com? Not sure how do they package the accessories. Hope they do not pack too much air.

iRobot, like many US retailers, will pack box in box as & when they feel like. They're not consistent in packaging size.

I've ever been hit by 14 kg volumetric weight (23"x21"x9") when I ordered 7 Aerovac bins. It totally didn't make sense why they put in huge box.

I remember a forumer here bought Scooba with free replenish kit (spare wheels, brush, etc.), but packaging became super big. So the free kit caused shipping fee to shoot up.
