Just went to this little sort of cafe restaurant opposite Central, i think it's La Chassuer or smth iirc. Had the lotus root soup, coffee pork ribs, pork trotter with vinegar, bbq prawns, chai por egg, fried fish with ginger and the big one, crispy pata pork knuckle. The knuckle was definitely the highlight, and the head chef(i think) personally came out to slice the thing and recommended us to eat it with the sauce he brought together. All in all pretty good. The lotus soup was lousy though, tao suan was normal. Will post some peeks later if i have time to upload

oh... that one some of us has been b4... it was even in one of the outings... yeah the pork knuckle is one of the highlights... :D

Anyway, you have no shortage of lunch options. Since hong lim should be near your workplace as well?

yup they are opened for lunch and in fact crowded during lunch hours. If you are going in a big group, suggest you call to reserve seats.

i "dumped" the burger buns on my friend's plate and ate the patties.... heeeeeee~ :D

Anyway I usually don't take lunch

last time u all go this HK Cafe at Balestier road.. did u all try the 3 off menu items? i read KF Seetho article abt it. Waxed meat, Waxed liver, Luo Cheong. The owners import them straight from HK. limited quantities, they say its handmade by some masters from HK..
