Also thinking of using CC to pay off the remaining amount in installments. Are there any interests charged by JP for the installment, or is it interest free?

Also, can I confirm that the CC rebates for Manhatten is not applicable for installments? If so, I'll need to get the UOB One Card.

Hi all bros, just to check, the CC payment can use Citibank or need UOB only for installment?

where is his JP shop? can walk in to choose or need appointment?

kindly advise :)

thanks!:D

Get the Manhanttan, charge the ring to the card .
Start a SCB xtrasaver account ( current ) . 2% cash rebate on all transactions on the debit card. And 0.5% cash rebate on any NETS transcations.
Then use ur cash in this xtrasaver account to pay off the Manhanttan bill. 5.5% rebate in total cash back, subject to cash back limit respectively.

Much better off paying cash for the ring

Not that simple.

"CashBack is not applicable for bill payments made via Online Banking from the XtraSaver Current Account."

Still looking away to sell away my store credits. Will deal at JP shop after you select your diamond ring. Up to 7% discount but payment will be in cash terms only. Pm me for details.

Definitely can use UOB for this.

No point using Citi actually.

Just applied for the UOB card liao. =:p

Thanks for the tip.

Too bad very difficult to stretch over 3Q to pay JP. Otherwise can use the Manhattan card for the 5% rebate per Q. 2Q still manageable coz first payment at end of 1Q and the next at the start of 2Q. :)

Appointment is needed to avoid disappointment. You can just send them an email for an appointment.

No offense, but did you try other private jewellers?

Yes I did. Two of them..and I am not talking about bluenile or online websites. Their diamonds are only slightly cheaper, and you can't see the diamonds cos they have to import in after you order.

I think what's most important is you and your SO love what you all have bought. Doesn't matter from where or how much it is. :)

Do post some pics. :)

3 prongs is really unique, chance of getting them elsewhere is low.

My ring has 3 prongs - It is the 3D contour setting from Charlotte. I do like it because there isn't so much blockage of light by the prongs. On the other hand, it means that u gotta take very good care of the ring - If one prong is kaputt U really risk dropping the diamond. On the other hand if there are like 4-5 prongs, there will be still 3-4 prongs holding on to the rock if one goes kaputt

Have been following this thread for a while but never post.. My boy just got me a ring from JannPaul.. It's a 0.771 G VS2 at 7k plus inclusive of settings.. Understand there were others who got a 0.63 F VS2 at 4k plus maybe around 2 mths back.. is it possible for diamond prices to rise so much? Seems like a huge difference... Casey also showed us another choice which was a 0.687 F VS2 at 6k plus (w/o setting)... Still a huge difference... Were we overcharged?

Only not applicable for online banking payments.

Ya lor, my understand is that, so long not online bill payments. Using the Nets payment mode at AXN machines for the various bills , will earn the 0.5% rebate. Oct 1st, the cash rebate cap had been limited to $15, from $50. Meaning a $3000 bill cap, for other bills. Hiaz, but guess still can use the 2% cash rebate feature of the debit card.

My rock is smaller than yours, but my ring cost 1k more.

Does that prove your statement? :s11:

Gold price has indeed gone up but it depends on when you got your ring.

So the fluctuations of the diamond price can increase that much?
