Anyone with probs connecting to wifi? Mine refuses to connect to my home wifi it keeps showing obtaining ip address. It works fine with wireless@sg though. Its nt my router problem as all my other gadgets are able to connect to it.

is it set to DHCP?
did you check the Mac address list in your router?

hmm.. nvr encounter poor reception for no reason..
but I know when I pass by certain MRT stations and certain areas in Singapore.. reception drops..

hey my s2 seems to have a screen problem.
the bottom left corner a light color then the rest of the screen. the affected area is like a folded corner of a piece of paper.
anyone with similar situations?
photo included, the bottom left triangle portion. its not a reflection, and the difference in colour is only visible in darker colours

By the way i bought the phone from someone and the warranty card date was not filled. Whats the actual step to do when claiming warranty?
Register online or just fill up the date and bring my phone down?

my router has no mac filter just a wpa security, and DHCP?? i dunno man all my other non samsung devices work fine with my wifi only nexus s and galaxy s2 having lots of problems with it. i was told to change the "channel" of my wifi and it worked for my nexus s but not my galaxy s2

Jurong Point or Plaza Singapura. From my previous experience (serviced phone twice), they didn't even ask for my warranty card, just checked online via IMEI so.. If you wanna play safe, can bring the card along with you (which was what I did) but I don't think they'll even look at it.

Anyone got problems with their phone call volume? I find mine ridiculously loud even at the lowest volume, I got to move my ear away from the phone or else if i press my ear against the phone like normal, it sounds as if someone is shouting into my ear and everyone around me can hear whatever the person is saying.

i went to check with the service centre then they say might need to send my phone back to check for 1-3 days.. haiyo duno is my problem or the phone.. drop call or distorted voice twice in a day.. for the past 4days.

Bros i have collected my phone from samsung service Centre just now. They did a complete reformat of the phone. All the starhub applications/icons, the unused icons all got deleted.

Luckily i got backup my sms/contacts/photos.

Forgot to backup my applications. I must download all of them lol

Your id3 tags on the file is in wrong format...need desktop app like convertz to convert to unicode.

Nope. You can use online streaming alternatives, but not any that uses internal hardware iirc.

1st, is it a mp3? If it's m4a or wma, sometimes those files are notoriously hard to edit their id3 or equivalent tags.

Personally I use a combo of 3 apps, convertz/MediaMonkey/foobar2000 to do tags. All are free.

Convertz to convert to unicode.
MediaMonkey to totally clear out id3v1 tags, you just need id3v2 tags around can liao. Same app to manually edit tags if need be.
Foobar to do the checking....if those same files display properly their tags in Foobar, most of the time it will appear fine on phone.

Yeah, tagging of audio files in Android is a b*tch....

Guys i got prob with my S2. from XXKG5 firmware i turn back my stock firmware XWKF1. I restore back all my backup apps n bookmark. But the issue is my facebook on mobile once i log in, i cant comment on post! It keep loading2 until i damn sian! Even the FB apps also the same! Help me pls anyone!

what mod or what did u do to it?

default S2 is having super soft call volume as reported by many... and there are apps to increase the volume... but need to root phone

I'm still having this problem that I cant hear the call properly in MRT... especially under ground... or during annoucement of next stop... I dont have this problem with other phones. what i could only do to resolve it is to press the phone hard against my ear and cover the phone to help hearing sometimes...

Dont know why... especially if the party is a iphone 3 user... woah... super super soft... even in quiet environment

last time... the phones i used are all super loud... if max volume... even surround people can hear my call without putting it on loud speaker mode.
