Hi,

Er most probably will use it to watch video when i'm outside only.

No lag as in overall don't lag when watching video and opening apps.

Lasting battery life for watching video as i might be out for a long time.

Yes, $130, max $150.

Thanks!
wat u r looking for is tough..esp long batt life.
China made tab are not of this..(some 3hrs...better are in 6hrs) and it depend on usage (surfing, watching videos)

and with that price, hmmmm.

http://portablemall.com.sg/

Go to a/m link..see any unit and surf around to know more(and see the support it could be offer)..and perhaps go to sls and see if they had. going to < SS200...(it would be easily)

last, if its 10", no way.

So guys ive read finished all 38 pagess

Is the lenovo a1 the most worth it atm
Any cheaper tablets to recommend??

I think A1 is a good buy BUT wait for the next firmware first. right now, there are complaints about the auto-shutoff etc - just google for "lenovo a1 problems / issues"

As compared to the Novo 7A, for another $100 u get:

- a good brand name
- strong support from the modding community for eg xda-dev has a thread on this
- bluetooth! Allows u to connect to bluetooth headphones, bluetooth gps n other devices
- built-in gps
- full access to the Android Market

The absence of bluetooth n gps is what stopped me from buying the 7A. Novo7 has the better chip though

After having Uzone F0C for a while, I'm pretty sure RK2918 SDK2.1 battery standby aren't very good:s8: Fully charged, I left it on standby for around 24hrs on 2 occations. 1st time it's 4% the other time it's flat.

This kinda made me worried that it could be a lemon. So I did a test today, running without wifi, lowest brightness, full speaker volume, playing a MKV video endless loop.

The test is not complete yet, but here's what I'd gotten;
1.05pm - 100% battery
3.15pm - 77% battery
5.15pm - 54% battery

Uzone F0C battery is 7.4V/2000mah (2x 3.4V/2000mah). This should give an idea to those interested in RK2918 tablets :)

Edit:
7.45pm - 27% battery
9.03pm - Battery flat

Total: 7hrs 58mins

Found one local seller. Are the prices ok?
coolest-products[dot]com

I'm eyeing for the C71. If you know other sellers who sells either c71 or c91 please let me know. Thanks in advance!

Be aware and do more search pls, this site was a forum full of spams since 2010, and changed recently as far as I know. FYI

hey, looking for a good tablet... please recommend!

1. run android smoothly, not laggish
2. can watch videos
3. can read documents (doc, docx, pdf)
4. <$200.
5. best if can use 3g.

would use it mostly for videos and reading, so weight, battery life would also be a consideration.

thanks!

I would suggest Novo7A (S$190-199 in SLS) or any A10 chipset tablets. A10 runs smoother than other China chipset tablets at this price cat. One of the strong points of A10 is playing videos. 3G will be via external USB dongle.

A10 also has good battery management, and so far all the 7" A10 tablet are <=380g.

As long as it Android 2.2 or higher, document formats pretty much depends on the apps.

Long hours reading will be a problem for <S$200 tablets as the screen resolution is not good enough.

Is portable mall a reliable website for purchase and if so, how is the delivery? (since it is SG).

They are being mentioned by a few members, the 1st time I read about it was from a low post count member ( spammer? ). I'd yet read any member with reasonable post count mention their experience with that website.

I don't think they really operate in Singapore, as it's mentioned they shipped from HK. Below is from their delivery page.

Where is my parcel sent from?
We usually post items from our Hong Kong warehouse unless specified

Also they aren't cheap. Like their Novo7A selling at S$189, but shipping via Fedex will cost S$22:s22:

SLS only selling S$190-199. From Taobao + agent shipping will cost around S$175. From merimobiles will cost US$139.99 with shipping (about S$185).

IMHO, no point getting RK2918 if you like Novo7A (or A10). Wait for your P76Ti review:s13:

Edit: I keep eyeing at Vi30+ (A10), it really makes more sense to get a 8" higher resolution 4:3 tablet. But reviews aren't very good.

Battery life is about 3+hours, the screen view angle was not as impressive as the previous Vi30 (RK2918) version :(

Edit: This is how good the Vi30 (RK2918) view angle is

any tab below $100

as long as can go fb youtube hotmail and have android market...
thanks:)

Below $100 if buy locally are those old resistive screen, 256MB RAM, bad battery life (maybe 2hrs less), maybe can't even play Angry bird tablet. Android market will be questionable.

If you are willing to top up a bit, I would suggest Uzone F1C (优择F1风尚版). It's also resistive screen, but the chipset, RAM, functions are better. It's about S$111 if you buy from Taobao + agent fee/shipping (self-collect).

If you are willing to spend up to S$135 with Taobao + agent, you can also look at Cube K8GT, Teclast P76Ti, Uzone F0C:D

Anyway, good luck finding your tablet :)

momo9 cannot get >.< Finally there are some feedbacks for it. A few mentioned they return momo9 cause it dies after 1st charge:s16:

There's 1 new white A10 but it's still resistive screen 8" 4:3. What I'm impressed is the screen view angle seems quite good. Hope they'll have a capacitive screen version.
