momo9 cannot get >.< Finally there are some feedbacks for it. A few mentioned they return momo9 cause it dies after 1st charge:s16:

There's 1 new white A10 but it's still resistive screen 8" 4:3. What I'm impressed is the screen view angle seems quite good. Hope they'll have a capacitive screen version.

4:3 is a let down.
resistive screen still ok (my creative Ziio is resistive and works well )

Ya, the view angle is rather good for a cheapo tablet. Actually you are right about resistive is still ok. After all 4:3 better for reading than games:D 599 RMB rather tempting for me, especially I still don't have a 4:3 or an 8"=:p

One more thing to worry is the firmware support^^;

I'm looking at getting a tablet when I embark on a long trip next year.

Would prefer something that allows me to:
* transfer photos from sd card to the tablet
* read e-books/pdfs with ease (without feeling tired)
* connect a bluetooth keyboard
* good battery life
* nice screen resolution (i'm a designer so I'm quite anal about graphics)
* lightweight -> charger has to be light too. else I would just bring along my laptop (which is light) but has a heavy charger!

am willing to spend up to $500

I had a 7" prior and I found it to be a tad bit too small for my liking. Am not really sure if I want the 10" though

Ainol Novo7B with ICS 4.0 :D
http://youtu.be/mS_fBBo80wU

There's going to be a launched sales for Aocos N19+ (Bluetooth) from 5th to 12th Dec on Taobao @ 1299RMB. Not sure if it's it worth it as the 3G version is only 1499RMB. Also the tablet uses old Telechips 8803 + Mali 200, which is not good for 3D games.:look:

Fren ordered Telcast P76Talmost 2wks ago, still havent reach agent china WH.

IMHO, no point getting RK2918 if you like Novo7A (or A10). Wait for your P76Ti review:s13:

Edit: I keep eyeing at Vi30+ (A10), it really makes more sense to get a 8" higher resolution 4:3 tablet. But reviews aren't very good.

Battery life is about 3+hours, the screen view angle was not as impressive as the previous Vi30 (RK2918) version :(

Edit: This is how good the Vi30 (RK2918) view angle is

Herotab is woot bro:D 7.7/8.9 are Galaxy tabs, I'm not sure if it's worth the price:s13:

These tablets updating so fast, like PC processors 2002 to 2004 deja vu:s22: Since it's confirm wants now, might as well buy cheap China tablets to satisfied the want. Give away time also not heartache lol

LG Slate is also 8.9
Sony tablet is 9.4
there is always the overgrown size 5.3 Samsung Note (phone)

I understd that the China Tablet needs to stay in a certain size (economical scale) thus $ can be low

Just "hope" they can "innovate" with more differ looks & size

Yes, I'm using a Herotab now. I don't think I'll recommend it given the low price and performance of Novo7A.

tough one..

SD to tablet
- some hi end device do not have Sd card slot ...requires reader (Xoom)

good battery life
- with videos or lots of drawing?

- nice screen resolution (i'm a designer so I'm quite anal about graphics) ??????

lightweight
- some hi end devices are heavy (Iconia A500 - 700g)
- Samsung tab 10.1 is 500g++

to $500
- how to?

7" prior and I found it to be a tad bit too small for my liking.
- 8" ?

in short, a china tab for your needs, it is tough

no:s13: but I'm interested in Vi30W deluxe (800x600), read the screen is sharper and view angle better than Vi30 deluxe (1024x768). Cheaper also=:p

But if I'm there during Feb maybe I'll hoot 1 vx610w as gift. it's kinda cool that the prices kept dropping:D

During Allwinner annual meeting, the company annouced they'll launched a A8 chipset ( A10 or other model? ) at US$4.99. This means they'll be competing with VIA 8650 chipset as their price are almost the same.

Also capacitive and resistive screen price gab had reduced to 80 RMB (about S$16.50), the last I read it was around 100 RMB difference.

This is pretty exciting as Allwinner did a great job with A10. If they can reduced the price of A10 to US$4.99 or come out with a new A8 chipset at US$4.99, it'll likely drive the whole China tablet prices down. Since RK2918 and A10 are based on A8, and they'll be running ICS4.0. The US$4.99 chipset should as well.

Currently VIA8650 tablets are selling around US$80 shipped. Most are resistive screen too. There's a good chance with the new Allwinner US$4.99 A8 running ICS 4.0 and capacitive screen to be less than US$100 shipped:s12:

But knowing China industry, whatever mentioned aren't fixed till the official release of the product.:s8:

Here's the reference URL regarding Allwinner US$4.99 chipset.
