New rapaport diamond report1_°Ù¶ÈÎÄ¿â
i found this Rapaport June 2011 report
according to the report, price per carat for 0.4~0.49 F VS1 diamond is $3200, while price per carat for 0.4~0.49 G VS2 diamond is $2500.
so the price for 0.45 F VS1 = $3200 * 0.45 * 1.3 (convert to Sing dollar)= $1872
and the price for 0.41 G VS2 = $2500 * 0.41 * 1.3 = $1332.5
so if the quotations come from the same supplier, after adding up their profit margin, 0.45 F VS1 should always be priced higher than 0.43 G VS2 since both quotations come from the same supplier.
actually both the price are reasonable if you look at them separately cos different retailer mark up differently. however, if you compare them together and if both quotations come from the same supplier, then it is a bit weird cos by right 0.41 G VS2 diamond shouldnt cost more than the 0.45 F VS1 diamond. so the problem is either they quote you wrongly or there is something wrong with the 0.45 F VS1 diamond
