You're still not getting the point.... -_-"
Can someone help me out here??

ok... i will try to help out here.
New rapaport diamond report1_°Ù¶ÈÎÄ¿â
i found this Rapaport June 2011 report
according to the report, price per carat for 0.4~0.49 F VS1 diamond is $3200, while price per carat for 0.4~0.49 G VS2 diamond is $2500.

so the price for 0.45 F VS1 = $3200 * 0.45 * 1.3 (convert to Sing dollar)= $1872
and the price for 0.41 G VS2 = $2500 * 0.41 * 1.3 = $1332.5

so if the quotations come from the same supplier, after adding up their profit margin, 0.45 F VS1 should always be priced higher than 0.43 G VS2 since both quotations come from the same supplier.

actually both the price are reasonable if you look at them separately cos different retailer mark up differently. however, if you compare them together and if both quotations come from the same supplier, then it is a bit weird cos by right 0.41 G VS2 diamond shouldnt cost more than the 0.45 F VS1 diamond. so the problem is either they quote you wrongly or there is something wrong with the 0.45 F VS1 diamond

I looked at the certificate on whiteflash and can't seem to find any inclusions on the clarity plot information. I zoomed in on the certificate but still can't see the inclusion.

I thought it was very strange for a VS2... especially when it has crystal, cloud, needle and feather inclusions.. so I went to AGS website to verify the report and it shows this

There's a big difference...

I don't know why the inclusions looks much lighter on the whiteflash website. I'll be quite concerned with the inclusion.
Personally, I would be more comfortable looking at the diamond physically first, before buying.

On a separate note, the diamond has bezel light leakages on the aset scope.

Thanks. Nice one. Is my eyes playing tricks on me for the bezel leakage. One looks blue. While the other diagram looks dark green. Or my phone display sucks.

So it is probably less risky to get Gia stones online. Read somewhere ags may not be so strict with clarity. So need a loupe to stare at it physically.

Ya I tot the inclusiions on hearts pic looks esp bad for vs2

i have decided on the 0.73 because of the color and the clarity.

initally.. i wanted the 0.78 but the clarity characteristics have pinpoint, feather & needle... cannot accept that :s13:

here's 0.73 cert and pics for reference ;)

$11k+ for that diamond did u say the last time? Reasonable for E color and VVS2.
Congrats, u bot a beautiful solasfera.
0.73 carats is a very nice size.
Your future wife will be very pleased with the 'bling' from this gem. :)

Wonder if Steven, who just posted on JP's wall, is from here as well. He looks very familiar to me. :D

Diamonds are not just about Carat. You gotta find out more about what are the other 3Cs or in this case, the other 2Cs since cut is Montblanc Diamond cut.

There's a local store at Mandarin Hotel, maybe you can pop by to see?

Thanks for the input but the other Cs don't really mean much to me as my gf loves the mont blanc cut. I actually popped by the Raffles City outlet earlier on but forgot to ask how much :s13: Think I'll visit their Mandarin store on Sun. Thanks again! :)

same goes for u, what a "miracle" :s13:

anyway, time for me to contribute my part for this thread. Sorry for being so silent all this while and the long text.

I was served by Jann, same as for others. It all started with a scope check and education on diamonds. The missus wanted a rectangle aka "emerald" cut, but what i saw here and further proven when Jann shown me...if its a diamond, it gotta sparkle! I rather go for something that sparkles rather what shape she choose.

Surely a sparkle will overwrites Everything :s8:

Its a rather short session as compared to others here, maybe i already know what i want and straight go for it. In fact ,we spent a bit of time OT and chat about many other matters like travelling, credit card advantages..n...TOYS! :s13:

My choice of stone

0.461 Cushion Brellia
VS1 G

Solitaire setting due to her wedding band already graced with 19 tiny diamonds in a row. Overkill if i were to take 1 with side diamonds as too many small diamonds will steal the limelight, simple n nice better.
Indeed, not like other stores "die die" ask you to add on as much as possible.

The price seriously was reasonable than i though, well within budget as well.
