This is probably the most frequently used and also the lousiest excuse. Frankly speaking, I do not care whose situation is in the worst stage, but based on the fact that it is already after the 6 weeks recommended/or promised deadline given by Apple. We definitely need some better explanation than that.

If we are getting Ipod 1st gen back replacement, it just shown that we had given Apple enough time to fabricate out those replacement parts. Apple SG CMI, they didn't push to shorten the process.

If we are getting Ipod 6th gen back as replacement, so didn't Apple Sg got enough of this existing models in their SG inventory already? Apple SG still CMI, they didn't push for the model confirmation by Apple, or why do they insist on shipping 6th gen refurbished sets to Sg?

I believed they should have know this... there are a lot of ipod 1st gen users around and they should be prepared.

Sapura has said even customers whom sent right after recall have not gotten anything because they had no shipment and they have alerted Apple...

so whom is going to be more hard assed about this?

i suggest we all write to sapura and copy apple directly...

have never considered Apple SG as Apple SG...they are just 3rd parties whom can be kicked out or even shut down anytime.

TRUE. There is no Apple SG. All are just premium authorized resellers.

was looking through the posts in macrumors forum apparently people in other countries got their new 6gen 8gb silver nano within the timeframe. SIGH.
Is the situation better if we send the nano to the Apple @YCK

Sent mine in to Epicenter Wheelock last Saturday and was told they have no idea when the replacements will arrive.

If it's going to take more than 6 weeks, and we end up getting refurbed first gen models, I will be quite irritated - I know getting the 6th gen model instead would be an unwarranted bonus, but with the slow replacement process here compared to US, Oz and Europe, I feel like we're getting a crappy deal.

Collected mine yesterday, it is the current gen nano indeed. Silver 8gb model. I would actually have preferred a replaced first gen nano as the design is so iconic but I guess getting a new "watch" in return is not too bad either...
