seen octagon diamond before but not dodecagon.
Did you personally seen it before? Very interest shape.
After all, its depend on your carat size, the smaller the size, your dodecagon shape will gonna to look more like round shape.

Thanks for the reply. Lol ya, interesting shape. But never mind. My girl like cushion brellia... Now i have to design the setting :s22: hohoho

Thanks!
Another question, 3 diamonds ring, is it suitable for using as proposal ring? :s11:

Do you mean a trilogy?? I think its more common to get a 1 big rock than 3 smaller rocks for proposal...

Oh.. JP FB got a nice trilogy photo..

I'm still deciding for a 3 diamonds ring or a round solitaire as an engagement ring.
Any opinions guys?:spin:

my 2 cents is that i am not a fan of multiple small small diamonds lined up. If they are all big diamonds, then different story.

Hi guys,

I was redirected here from SingaporeBrides forum.

I am wondering where is a good place to get a wedding ring at the moment.

So far, I had been to Taka to look at their "True Love" collection and Lee Hwa's "Destinee" collection.

Their price difference can be 1k+ for a 0.4 ct diamond ring, 3000 for True Love (which they quoted the diamond and ring separately) and 4k+ for Destinee. Taka was offering 20% discount

I had also been to the website Vivo Diamonds - Singapore Diamond Engagement Rings and Wedding Bands Jeweller to whereby they allow you to choose your own diamond and ring design. I am wondering anyone of you has any experience with this shop before.

I had also read up some info from this website Proposal Ring: Singapore's Ultimate Diamond Information Site on how diamond cost prices are derived,, but I am not sure how updated is it now.

How about JannPaul? What is the feedback?

Thanks for reading.

Personally I feel that the brand TAKA comes to me as a brand which offers below average diamonds at affordable prices (as if they r clearing away lousy stock)..so even a 1 carat diamond from TAKA would not impress. I've been to their shop and their staff usually takes out the cert to show, not knowing more about the cut/scope. I wouldn't trust them for a quality diamond, and their low prices makes me wary. Maybe i'm stereotyping, this is just my humble opinion

I have compared Soo Kee's Brilliant Rose diamonds and must say that compared to the normal Hearts & Arrows, the Brilliant Rose with 66 facets is more sparkling under their store lights. However to pay almost 2x (i was quoted during a sale) for that is not worth it.

So far, i feel that JP has the best service and willingness to share knowledge of their diamonds. Pricing wise is also reasonable. Do consider an appt with JP before u decide.

also wads e price range of jP like>?

Below S$1,000 to above S$50,000.

Your question is just like, "What's the price range of a motor vehicle like?". You need to be more specific. ;)

There is no obligations to buy at JP, so just go book an appointment and learn more about diamonds. :)

Simple Pricing: Local Retail > JP > Online.

For the same spec & quality of diamond, JP will be cheaper than Retail. If Retail can surpass JP in term of spec & price, then lousy quality (cut) is the factor.

It is possible for Online shops to have diamond as good as JP at cheaper price, but need to be extra careful while shopping online as there are risks involved.

also wads e price range of jP like>?
