I applaud ur courage to buy a newly launched product direct from Korea & probably too new & language barrier to find self-help tech support.
But I also know u've tried many robots, probably >50% of brands out there.
I was just at a new Scooba customer's home 2 days ago, his house is big double storey. His marble floor has not been properly cleaned for 2 yrs, the wife did try her best to mop with hot water but Scooba dirty tank was still churning out murky water after ~5 runs in 5 days.
His LG Roboking just arrived few hrs before I went, he JUST printed out the English manual which was only available for a previous model. But close enough.
His damage ~$1000 inclusive direct global shipping. He was so Kiasu he bought ~10 spare HEPA filters, and maybe 4 replacement sidebrushes. I guess it's a "might as well" mentality.
I was very amazed that Roboking could clean under low lighting, it went into the kitchen which was dark. It also cleaned under couch. It was nite time so it was dark under couch. I know for a fact that the top camera looks at the ceiling, but in darkness, how can it see anything or map any lighting fixtures since none were illuminated.
The rear has a mini red lamp, I was speculating it to be UV disinfectant (like QQ2), but red is not UV. So I jokingly said maybe it's like Optical Mouse & scanning the floor, guess what... after searching Internet, it really is scanning the floor, a Giant Optical Mouse with 1Tb RAM???
Roboking is also ridiculously silent, I put my hand at the rear & hardly feel any exhaust wind, unlike Roomba or Neato.
The bottom is a single brush with half & half profile (like 1st gen Roomba 500 red bristle brush), the vacuum duct is directly in line just like Neato's design.
Bin design is a detachable lunch box with a mini brush attached. U can put bread & spread Nutella using the mini brush.
Battery is Li-Po, the most ex rechargeable battery, but has the highest energy density. Commonly used for Aerial remote control hobby.
Roboking has selectable U-turn mode (like Neato), or Spatial mode where it breaks large area into smaller grids & U-turn grid by grid. U-turn is faster, so I don't know what's the benefit of Spatial.
Roboking goes over every area once, like Neato. So I can't say if cleaning will be thorough. But coverage will be thorough like Neato, even for very large area since it also has low batt self-resume feature.
Climbing kerbs is not a strength, I think is cos of the low bumper design.
Front is a mini swivel wheel, rear has 2 mini fixed-axis wheels (like Neato). I read review, someone says rear fixed wheel scratches floor during direction change, I believe the same goes for Neato, although I haven't seen any obvious marks on my parquet, unlike last time (late 2007) when I was using V-bot (early version with fixed-axis front wheel).
Frankly, after viewing Roboking at my customer's place, I'm tempted to get one. $1000 is major damage, but it is cool.
The only concern for me is always the ability to service, since it's a new product & not marketed outside Korea yet. The earlier version has been marketed in Europe & Australia.
When I took the plunge to buy Neato, it was a rush of blood & overwhelming curiosity. Same for Scooba 230, scully buy lemon. But techie needs new toys.
