i dont think this glass is tougher than gorilla. some people overseas already cracked it when they dropped it. but the oleophobic coating is definitely weaker than the rest because people have complained that they see very minor scratches on the screen, but it's not the glass scratch so must be the coating.
After some googling, found out that Gorilla glass is also considered some kind of fortified glass. The only different is just Corning branded it as Gorilla glass. What GN using now is unbranded fortified glass. They are the same technology.

I use XXKK1, XXKK6 and currently XXKL1..

KL1 gives me the best battery usage with similar strength to KK6..

looked around on the web, seems xxkl1 is really better than xxkk6..

how do you flash basebands? same method as the aokp rom? thanks.

Christ people, gorilla glass is resistant but it's not invulnerable. Just sprinkle a bit of sand on your screen, swipe once and you will see it scratch like a broken record. If you are going to whine about scratches just buy a cheap screen protector.

Just want everyone be aware that Galaxy Nexus is prone to scratches as well. Easier than another other devices.

Yes..really individual preference Naked phone looks the best.
All my phones .Nexus One, Nexus S, Samsung Galaxy S, Galaxy S2..stay naked,no cover ,no screen protector..and No visible scratches that can be seen with naked eyes.. Just a phone pouch to cover the phone and isolate it from scratches by hard objects

Yes..no exception ,will not apply any screen protector as this is my usage habit..
by the way ,I still couldnt get hold of a set at Singtel Shop..perhaps tonight..go buy Non contract export set..fed up..should have gotten it by December and wasting my time to wait.

Singtel corporate plan changed to unattractive..if I were to recontract on the same plan, now got to pay $12-$13 a month more ,with this..Export set becomes very attractive..

Agreed, used to have all my smart phones without screen protectors. Just ranting about how the "technology" is going backwards. Moving on..

oleophobic for oil lah, scratch needs gorilla glass to mitigate the visible scratches.
