Anyone here looking at March BTO? any comments on whether it's worth a try? There are many matured estates in this launch, but I'm sure there will be many people eyeing it and thus huge oversubscription. Not sure if it is worth the risk... coz if we get a not-so-good number, will be losing 1st-timer status if we decide not to select later on... >.<

I got no experience...... need to get HDB hub to register and pay the $10? or do it online? pay by master/visa?

The price range will only be out when they announced the March BTO sale. To get the individual unit price, you need to be successful to get a queue number.

About few weeks to a month before the selection date, HDB will send you a sale package with a booklet detailing the exact pricing.

And yes, you can log-in via your SingPass to apply @ HDB website, and can use your credit or debit card to pay the $10.

I think you have misunderstood his meaning...For march BTO for 2nd timer got 40% according to khaw comment...

I think he meant he was going to give up the selection for other BTO...if he was apply march BTO can't get so the queue number might not be good next time..
You can give up 2 times for 1st timer but will stop 1 year for apply BTO...

Khaw did mention there will be more flats allocated to 2nd timers in march bto... but was it confirmed how much more already?? i wish he would delay that to May BTO instead...

In his Nov statement, Khaw did mention likely 2nd timer quota will be revised in time for the March BTO. However, the figures have not be revealed yet.

Any revision will be good for 2nd timers even if extra 5% I guess.

Will be an exciting year for 2nd timers who are aiming for BTO or ECs in 2012.

sorry to intrude, how does one consider a person is 2nd timer ?

lets say I've gone for a BTO some 15 years ago. take over ex share of unit (considered resale), then sold it off 5 years later and downgraded to resale again. Does that mean I am still eligible for a BTO etc ???

as long as u got a bto from hdb previously, u are a second timer

You are still eligible for BTO. Except you have to pay the resale levy.

However, you better check with HDB on the levy. The resale levy will also depends on when the first flat was sold.

Maybe you can try your luck...hahaha.
If they give you select flat then you're reject again..juz wait for another year give pple more chance...

Happen to read on chinese new paper..
Some expert said at least got 30-40% for 2nd timer in march...

I sure hope not, we have to remember that second timers already enjoyed a subsidized flat and are probably living in their own housing while first timers are living with others or renting

Just to let you all know that the geylang area for BTO,many years ago that plot of land a kid was found dead there... But a factor of consideration some people superstitious might not apply
