Singtel 3g Coverage

anyone encountered intermittent data connectivity lost in Singtel? goes off for few good minutes, come back on and off.... and occasions is damn damn slow, tried few times test on speedtest got DC..... using SGS2

it has been like that since yesterday evening, and it's not pure location based, i travel from yishun to paya lebar then clementi and back to office in paya lebar.

recently 3g keep jumping to 2g on singtel.
anyway hardly on 3g, but when on already face this needeless to say when need to use.

using 3gs.

Had this Noisy Voice Call which the other party couldn't really hear me well.
Sengkang Area and this happened late last year 2011.

Thought it is my Mobile Phone :s27:
Recontract new handset 2 weeks ago still got issue :s7:
Next day change new Sim Card still got issue :s7:

So confirm it's my Sengkang Area :s16:

Hey, im staying in Jalan Membina also. Has this issue since Nov 2011. Called numerous time to their CSO but did not receive any favorable response from them.

Speed is ok in the morning.
After7pm, couldn't load a ****.

Recently, from late last year till now, I had experienced that the 3G or 3.5G strength in (Jalan Membina) Tiong Bahru area was very inconsistence..

While I am using my mobile phone (Nokia N8) to surf (currently on 3G Flexi Lite Plan) be it inside my home or outside my home (open area) the connection was so inconsistence, sometime was able to connect to the web.. sometimes unable, and I had checked the speed, it was showing 0.00kbps, status inactive! And keep switching from active to inactive.. at the speed of some 0.10kbps to 1.00kbps!

That wasn't like that before... I had even call the Singtel CSO to reset my line, after that I am still experiencing this. Sometimes I can't even connect to a simple site like google!! It says connection lost!! I have to do it (refresh) a few times before it was able to connect.

I also found out that usually this happens in the evening time, say around 6pm onwards.. while in the morning still ok, the speed is still quite consistence.

anyone in Tiong Bahru area also experienced this??

Yeh I'm in the area. Maybe at the time you stated there are a lot of users active that's why it's soooo slow :/

Faced the same issue. They offered to reset the line which I questioned the need. Only then they ask me for exact location. This happened on 21 Feb. On 23 Feb, they called me to confirm there is a problem on the base station and they are sending engineers to fix it.

Be firm with them. Do not let their standard policy play to you if you know you have no issue at other location. They even have the guts to ask me for postal video when they do not even know how to find it: "I passed by this spot, no data internet connection, how do I find the bloody postal code? How do I give you an accurate postal code when streetdirectory may not be right? Is it easier to give you the address and the landmark, bus stop in this case, which you cannot miss?" If the Jalan Membina speed improved, you all must thanks me for giving them the HK style critical feedback.

All the policies are drafted by scholars and the officers blindly follow them. They are now conformists and do not use common sense.

They do not even have a voice channel for feedback as a mobile company, until i pressed them for it. They keep asking me to go to the internet to send feedback. I ask them if i am an elderly who do not know internet and need a voice call, how to give feedback. Basically they are not interested to take feedback, else they will bother with the channels of communication.

That's why I giving up on them and intent to sign starhub or m1 soon for per sec billing which is cheaper n since singtel 3G is equally bad. Got cheek to launch 4g some more

laghub is not safe too bro
their data is one of the most non consistent
m1 is all rounder only stronger on 3g
Singtel is depend too
m1 blind spot then Singtel no blind
ao pick the Telecom suits u morevlikw location lor

I even went to take up sim plan to test
but laghub I don't need to test as it cmi

both st n m1 both is comparable depend on where u stay n work ans shop location
no one is best

Seriously, don't bother with Starhub. Been there done that. Now with Singtel. So much better.

I'm on Singtel. Coverage is good in less crowded areas. In areas like shopping mall, MRT, etc, cannot even open any web. Anyone had the same issues?

May be dropping SingTel when my iPhone due for re-contracting.

Reason: M1 and Starhub has 100mins extra compared to SingTel's 200min iPhone price plan ..

singtel coverage in yishun totally CMI. the 3G net connection is so slow! dont know what is happening to them.:(

Reason: M1 and Starhub has 100mins extra compared to SingTel's 200min iPhone price plan ..

I stuck with Singtel, if not i would have taken 100 extra minutes with starhub or m1 over their so called 'better' network coverage.
