Hai Chew SLS..best price in Singapore..bargain a bit with them, maybe can get 350...if you buy the original screen protector from them together with the player..it is only $10, else $18.

Actually, no need screen protector..I pass my J3 to my GF to use..she simply dump the player into her bag (you know how woman bag are??)..no scratches *yet*. Sometime, she did not even have the player in the leathercase...

Anyway...battery life for the cowon j3 is RIDICULOUS....her player see 2 - 3 hrs of playtime a day...since the day I bought it..only charged once (on the day of purchase). Till now, still have at least 10% life!!!?!?!?!?!??!?!?! Player has all enhancement off and headphone is a PX100.

I got look at amazon also.. Now dunno which place to buy from haizz.. Think Friday I visit sls see how much first ba..

Why not? Buy from amazon include shipping over already $310..this one is $350 with local warranty...If you J3 from Amazon spoilt...you are going to spend at least $80 for RMA shipping.

I feel the chances of you receiving a DOA set is very low . Both my S9 and J3 are Amazon sets and so far , nothing's wrong with them though .

Its good enough without an amp .

If you use an external amp on J3 , it'll lead to double amping .

Anyone can give me some idea on sq of iPod touch over j3? Still decide if I should switch to j3 given I like the UI and form factor of iPod and given the interoperability with other apple products I have such as MacBook.

Hmm . I tried amping J3 too .

Imo , it isn't worth the budge because the gains that you actually receive is doable using their EQ .

Anyone here updated to FW 2.29 already?

Currently using it. Not much difference from the previous version of 2.23.

Anyways, here are some of my opinions about it:

Certain things I like about it:
- Many SQ presets to choose from
- Battery drains by a segment after 14 hours of usage on User 1 (my own SQ preset) at lvl 30(10hrs w portable speaker and 25(4 hrs w earpiece) volume along with 20 brightness
- Extremely light weight
- Reasonable big screen
- Sharp and bright display
- Smooth scrolling in and out of folders
- Very fast boot up on pressing the power button (about 2 seconds)

Certain things I do not like about it:
- Even though selecting Non-European region, the volume is still quite soft
- Not much video formats supported
- No delete option to remove audio/videos (WTF?)
- The software bundled with it does not encode the video properly, audio doesn't sync with the video


Hope it helps potential buyers getting the J3.
