380 is US model, 385 is EU model.Anyone can tell me what is the difference between Scooba 380 and 385?
thanks for your info.380 is US model, 385 is EU model.
Both have same 850 sq ft coverage.
385 comes with 3 accessories less than 380.
a) external battery cradle = charge battery independent of Scooba
b) 2nd virtual wall, 380 is the only model with 2 virtual walls
c) round water proof mat = for parking wet Scooba when not in use
Scooba 390 also don't have the 3 accessories just mentioned.
Hi Dino, I see u're new to this forum & to iRobot various models.thanks for your info.
I have another question on roomba. I understand that aerovac bin seems to be better than the normal standard bin. If I need to upgrade roomba 560 with aerovac bin, is it better I directly take the roomba 552 or roomba 550 pet series?

U waiting for them to ferment into fine smooth cognac or what?
This is like the 3rd time the Straits Time had written about Robovac. 1st was in july 2010 & then another one few months back in 2011. Everytime iRobot is the clear choice by them.
Cos their review not as thorough compare to the bros on this thread mah. Roboking still new technology leh and Samsung Navibot cmi .... Lolx
thanks for your info.

Haha. Ya do agree. Maybe is because the distributor always pay to advertise in ST. I think once LG electronics bring the Roboking 614X or 617X models here in 3-4 yrs time (considering it is selling the 3-4 years ago model now.), or is taken into consideration during reviews, should rate pretty well, that is if Roomba never come out with new models 3-4 years later.
Roboking has a very through HEPA filter, Better and faster cleaning pattern than even Neato, stop 1 cm before wall and furniture, slient, Picks up more fine dust, 2 side brush, Ion polymer battery got no memory can last 3-4 years, ultra slim, etc.. Only thing is that it cannot climb kerbs, so unless your cleaning area is flat, no stairs or kerbs, will not recommend it. In any case always good to read a range of reviews online.
Yes, Li battery has very low self-discharge.The LG has very good battery management. I was away for a week and switched off the master power. When i came back and turn it back on, it is still able to accurately track the battery condition and charges to full in a min or two (unlike many others such as the Neato). Goes to show that the self discharge rate of the Li-Pol is very low.![]()
thanks for your clarificationActually the 550 pet series is the 552. It would make sense to get the 550 if you wanted the AeroVac bin as an upgrade of the 560 will make the price similar to buying it. 550 also comes with 2 extra bristle brush, 2 extra beater brush, 2 extra sidebrush, 3 extra AeroVac filters & 4 C size batteries for the auto virtual walls. All this extra accessories will cost you more than $100+ to buy locally.

roboking (or hom-bot as its known here), is much quieter as compared to roomba during operation. roboking can affix the provided dry mop at it's backside to wipe up the dust/fur that is not picked up by the vacuum located further up, which would be useful for people with wood floor. roboking is also easier to clean. the dustbin is able to hold more than roomba aerovac bin. less hair and fur gets tangled inside the brushes and the crevices of the hom-bot, where roomba often ingests hair and fur into its rollers and surrounding crevices.
the advantage for roomba is that the suction power seems more powerful than roboking, so it picks up more dust. the random pattern takes longer time to clean than roboking, but it also cleans more thoroughly since it goes over an area usually more than once. roomba can also do scheduling.
