Been a while and I should be quite out-dated. But here's some sharing.

Just a heads up for those looking for a cheap 7" basic tablet. Ployer Momo 9 Enhanced 2 will be having a 299RMB (U.P. 399RMB) promo on 15-16 May 2012 on Taobao.

This tablet is a basic tablet running on Allwinner A13 which is the crippled version of A10. It lacks HDMI output and DC power plug, but perform wise is similar to that of A10. Momo9E2 during the promo is said to have 4200mAh battery (one of the highest for 7") and 8GB.

I do hate the Ployer brand but at 299RMB with big battery capacity and 8GB ROM, it will be worth getting.

For those planning to get the dual cores 9-10" tablet can look at Cube U30GT 10.1" RK3066 at 1299RMB. I'm waiting to see if Window 9.7" RK3066 N90dual current preorder price 1499RMB, is rumored to be 999-1099RMB when it released.

Also, Novo7T & Novo7M runs of Amlogic M3 which is Single Core. Novo7A2 & Novo7E2 will be on M6 which is dual core.

So which tablet to get now? Unless you need IPS screen, I suggest u look for 299-499 RMB 7" A10/A13 tablet. Personally I will (at current moment) only look for 299RMB tablet for Allwinner tablet.

My stand for 9.7" IPS screen will still be 999RMB (maybe till 1099RMB), except now I expect them to be with dual core. 7" IPS screen should be around 799RMB for dual cores.

I'll likely boycott Ainol Novo7A2 if they are really serious about selling at 899RMB. Imagine with shipping and what not, it'll be over S$200. Confirm not worth getting especially with Nook tablet and Kindle fire dropping their prices. As far as I'm aware Amologic chips (used in Novo7A2) tends to be cheaper than Ti OMAP4 chips (used in Kindle Fire, Nook Tablet).

For 5.3" tablet phone, I would think the chiong/shanzhai Galaxy Note to be good value. It's under 1200RMB, runs on MT6575.

However, the Novo7000 is interesting.

As we both knew couple of mths ago, it shd be going for dual core now...(with gd price)..just need the price to go down.

Current IPS single core(16g) on average of 1099 (some more, so less)/ might need a quarter before the dual start to reach low price

Amlogic M6 chipset I always have doubts how good it really is. Amlogic tends to fall short on something, like 8726-M was pretty good for a 800MHz processor, but the power consumed is higher.

IIRC 8726-M3 was first used by Ramos W6HD (IIRC), there was a lot of high expectation, but didn't match up to Allwinner A10. I don't understand why Novo7T & M would go backwards and use 8726-M3. Maybe Ainol just want to ripped off as much as they could with A10 tablets and showed it's superior to M3.

But kiddos to Amlogic to have Media player manufacturers used their old 8726-M. No power consumtion problem since it'll be pluged in. From what I see M6 tablet maybe sold at a higher price compared to RK3066 tablets. Just hope I'm wrong on this.

As for new products trend, I find most brand normally drop the price of new products during pre-order or launch. And if the respond is good and shortage of stock, they raise the price. When the market is saturated, they dropped back to launch price. So either u buy during launch and be a lab rat, or wait till the price is dopped back when there's likely a stable firmware and the manufacturers fixed those hardware problems

Gemei G3 is still quite a good buy gievn that it is A10. I'm outdated so unsure abt the firmware.

U did a right choice to go with 65diagou as I'm getting frustrated with current sgshop order. I find myself constantly have to push them to do stuffs. Example, my payment was confirmed and they should buy for me within 24hrs. I had to pm them after 24hrs to ask what happen before they make purchase for me.

65daigou only need at most 4hrs after payment to make purchase, in most cases within 2hrs. They also update status very often. Only fault I find with 65daigou is that the sea shipping takes a longer time as their China warehouse is in Shanghai, while sgshop is in Guangzhou. But 65daigou sea shipping is supposed to be daily, while sgshop only will shipped on Wed & Sat.

There's more drawbacks like non-ips screen which maybe a problem for the screensize. 6000mah battery is a little small, and my guess is the 10.1 non-ips screen may drained more battery than those 9.7" ips sceens.

With those said, 750RMB is still a good buy.

Oh ya watch out for dead pixels which may be common in Teclast 1st batch low priced products.

edit: Forgot to mention, US$134 with screen protector is a nice deal from Aliexpress. Do look at reviews of seller.

This is actually a good sign that more China sellers are willing to ship overseas at the price that they are selling in China. E.g. US$134 (abt 850RMB) which is something like 750RMB + 100RMB (overseas shipping).

IMHO, cheapest best value 9.7" now would be 799RMB promo for RK2918 U9GT2 (no HDMI). See it down from 1499RMB back in Oct

8" I would not touch cos not porpular and at those prices, might as well buy a 9.7" IPS.

edit: Too bad Window N90dual price is 1299RMB. If it was as rumored 999-1099RMB, then it would had been a better value.

Also it seems that tomorrow promo for Momo9E2 @299RMB is limited sets. Think only 100sets...

I never did comment as you had already bought it, so really no point commenting as I doubt many will go for it. Since buy liao, just enjoyed what you bought

But since you asked, here's my thoughts:

As far as I'm aware, Chuwei brand is always slow in introducing new products. Their updates seems limited also. They could had skip A10 and go for M6/MX or RK3066 instead.

The V8HD is now around 699RMB which seems like an ok price for a non-isp 8". Personally, I won't go for less porpular brands as it hard to get help when needed.

As I said, since you buy liao, don't think too much. China tablet it's often better when one learn to enjoy the goods and live with the bads.
