AC Ryan very 1st Android Tablet

I saw a AC Ryan Tab at Challenger Outlet in Clementi going for lower than pre-order price for members. (just give ic number all are members liao)

The set is version 4, that is stock, i see no screen white washed of that set, and when plugged into charger as all display sets were, the touch was okay, not jumpy as i was able to do a round of temple run.

Saw quite a few apps on their screens, but having seen so much in the forum hor, i hold back my urge to get one and see how much more improvements it can make... hehe

So far, we can quite confirm that AC Ryan are indeed working in the background la, but surely they have to find a way to compensate those who had such a frustrating time with the first batch of "test" ware...

ACR, may I ask how do we add additional keyboard (or others language input e.g. Chinese? ) so that we could swap about when typing during chat ? Do advise ...

hi acr, this tablet is a wonderful product. it was much more better than some other china tablet and some branded tablet in term of build and battery life and price. the firmware support also is a plus point for me, keep it up.:s1

but still have drawbacks on this product as follow:

-the arrangements of ports are too close to each other, and also suggest that to provide rubber cover for ports or slot to protect from dust and water if have any new product
-the volume button is not responsive enough.
-great that have the vol control icon in control bar, but some time it will appear and disappeared again.

other than that i find tab 7 is really value for the money. Any plan coming out 3G new tablet?

hope got more accessories for this tablet docking stand and case.

Today is Friday... I was told and promised by acryan that next shipment is this week . But still no news about the shipment... I paid the full amount since pc show, and yet up till now i still using a faulty unit.

Oh, this is an application installation.
I would like to ask whether the tab7 itself can add additional language which is similar to iphone , swap in between.. do advise me on tis...first time use android platform ...

I am having the following problems.
Unable to watch youtube video in portrait mode.

Also install and run Google Map, but it is unable to detect my current location.

Anyone encounter the same problem as me. Update firmware still have these problems.

Currently yes we can confirm that pointing your location using google maps will not work as of the moment. We are also checking the Youtube playback on portrait mode.

Regarding the new shipment, sorry to say that there will be a delay. We are still pushing our factory to have few of the Tab7 in order for us to issue some replacement for those affected unit like yours. By the way have you tried the new firmware? We will update you again, sorry for any inconvenience.

Thanks ACR, i have successfully connect to my iphone hotspot. WONDERFULL.. Wifi signal strength indeed always stays at full bar. This firmware does boost and improve the wifi signal strength ... Hotspot signal also no issue.

ACR team, keep up this good effort... !!! Awaiting for the new firmware for bluetooth and others cool stuff...

O ya, ACR.. any update on the Case / Screen Protector ? Realli need a case to house this tab 7 ...

Screen protector and Casing accessories for Tab7 will only be available by 3rd week of August. The price for the casing was cut and will sell at SGD19.90

For keyboard other languages support like PinYin, you can download "Go Keyboard" from the Play Store. This app supports additional languages for your usage.

After installing this app, please go to your Tablet setting-> Language and input then enable it.

i have updated to the latest firmware. Sad to say i still have the screen jumping around with the charger plugged in........

Sorry for any inconvenience. If the keyboard still giving you the same response, hope you can check if the firmware was successfully installed. We managed to get reports and base on our own experienced this was improved.

Thank you for your feedback and patience for waiting for the firmware. Yes we have the Tab7 accessory and hopefully some more other stuffs by 3rd week of August. For other things like cover for ports, docking station and 3G Tab. that I am not sure for now.

You try to monitor first how your volume control works in longer time, if it is not so responsive maybe we can give it a check.

What's your software version? When u bought it, do you have to update it or not?

Must make sure that you have updated the Tab7, the build number should be 4.0.4 ACR 20120710.T7 Version1.1.2 you can also check the link below incase you wanted to do an online upgrade.

I would advice you to return the hardware and buy from another brand. My dealings with A.C Ryan has only been negative, they have no real customer care after you have given them the money.

There are a multitude of tabletts that are better and from more secure brands, A.C Ryan is a very small company that can't handle the cost's that might arise from product faults. This will only cost you money in the end since they wont correct the flaws in there products. This behavior have been shown for every product they have released, they stop supporting it when sales drop.

I have received my Tab couple weeks back, so far so good, have not encountered any of the major problems mentioned here except when charging, the touch sensor goes kind of crazy....I have not done the online upgrade as I am worry, instead of making it perform better, it become otherwise...shall monitor..but have to say if none of the shortcomings happen, it's a pretty value for money tab as compared to those MIC tabs...
