Want to check if we can use cpf to pay the stamp fees when signing the lease or do we have to pay cash first upfront for the stamp fees before they will deduct from cpf a few months later and reimburse back the cash? I believe this is how the condo stamp fees work but not sure if it is also the same for bto?

Also, if one is eligible for ahg, the grant will be processed and placed in our cpf account before we get an appointment to sign the lease right?

can use cpf for everything include stamp fees. if eligible for ahg, the amt will be credited into cpf then you get the 2nd appt.

Can I ask will cof be wiped out twice for Hdb loans ? Once on 2nd appt and another when u get keys?

this one can ask the cso at hdb for advice. what my friend did, pay for the min deposit via cash. when the bto is ready then u sell the house. the money will transfer the back to cpf than he transfer to hdb.

Difference between MT & BL

Hi,

I have read from this forum that the differences between Mcnair Towers (Premium Flat) & Bendeemer Lights (Standard Flat) are mainly the gates, windows and also that MT has a bigger living room since the bomb shelter comes in the kitchen (that was what i read before).

However, after examining the floor plan with my SO, both BL & MT has the bomb shelters in the living room itself. Only in some units of MT, the entrance of the bomb shelter comes inside the kitchen whereas for the rest, it comes from the living room.

So, technically, both BL & MT has similar floor plan with the same living room space?

Can someone enlighten me on this?

HDB think it is a better location so wanna squeeze more money from you. what kind of public policy is this? shouldnt it be fair and square balloting?

Is it for sheltering purpose? Meaning if my level has corner windows, it will benefit the level below me since my corner window will shelter the sunlight for them.

It's just an additional small window at the corner of your bedroom. Some of the BL layouts also have this window.

Btw which unit u looking at? Maybe we become next door neighbour in future.. haha
