As stated, here is the place for FiiO users to share their experiences and for pre-users to learn about FiiO's range of DACs, amplifiers and related accessories.

http://fiio.com.cn/

For users, do appreciate if you can state the model you are using or had experience with and any auxiliary gears driven by it.

Starting with me :D

1. Macbook > FiiO E17/E9 combo > AKG Q701
2. Macbook > FiiO E10 > Bravo Ocean > AKG Q701
3. iTouch > FiiO L3 > FiiO E11 > AiAiAi TMA-1
4. iPad > FiiO E1 > HiSound PoPo

How did you find the first combo? I couldnt take the e17 straight out to my 701 though, the sound was too thin :o

As a DAC I hooked it to the N3 and almost the same results, had to tube-roll it :(

My previous rig was better to me - Pico DAC > Miniwatt N3 > miniwatt headphone adaptor > 701

That is why you will need to compliment the FiiO E17 with the E9K to provide the raw power (torque) to drive the AKG K/Q701.

Hi All,

I tried to input my Ipad 2 signal into a mixing console but the volume was way too low,
I need to raised the volume level of both device nearly the max in order to have a "proper"sound.

Will E9 help to boost the signal voltage and output impedance to line level?

And I saw the spec of E9k stated that it come with a variable RCA preamp out from 0-6Vrms compare to E9 which only giving a fixed RCA output of 2Vrms. Does it mean the output power of E9K is much more better?

Huh? You are taking the headphones output of your iPad into your mixer's mic or line-in?

Yes, to the line in. But the volume is about half of other line-in devices, such as CD player.

Anyone using E17/E9 and using USB input? I find that there will be sound distortion to my speakers everytime I use this combo.

Does it mean I have to use S/PDIF input instead?

Have you tried swapping cables? Both the USB and audio cables.
