You will receive the booklets prior to your select at least a mth before. With e booklets it is like a blueprint where u can see e units with which layout. Actually e shape on e floor plan u can tell. Example MT 2nd layout is at unit 270. E rest like 276,278,284,286 all r 1st layout.

I think MT is not difficult to tell... I think she is referring to BL...

Honestly I dun think I can tell the floor layout for BL based on the diagram.:s22::s22::s22:

My guess is that the double wall is to provide sound and heat insulation. This is probably noteworthy if the west sun is shining on your bedroom wall. That said I'm not sure how effective this is. All the units in BL have a double walled bedroom wall. The living room wall is apparently a party wall.

There are only a few variables for BL (unless you care about which way your doors open and whether your rooms are on your right or left)
(a) Has bedroom corner window
(b) Living room wall is a party wall

103 = [_][_]
105 = [_]
107 = [a]
109 = [a][_]

115 = [_][_]
117 = [_][_]
119 = [_]

125 = [a][_]
127 = [a]
129 = [_]
131 = [_][_]

268 and 270. If you take those you probably won't be able to disguise the bomb shelter door and plate without a lot of creative reno I think. You also pretty much can view your master bedroom from your main door if the doors are both open. The other layout opens to a view of your living room instead which is might be preferable.

Ya. 268 and 270 only. Coz I hv e booklet already. For BL e diff I can c is e corner window at MBR. How to tell if which blks hv u can just see from e pricing. From wat I c y some units do not hv corner windows coz of e view. Take for example 278 at MT. E price is diff from 276 coz if u hv a corner window, u will c 270 unit. Perhaps y is cheaper. My point of view only.

woah this thread is so happening! it's way too much to catch up man!
such a dilemma trying to decide between BL and MT...
is it true that the multi generation scheme have been the ones choosing and they only can select MT? cause it seems like MT is much more popular now...

Hi,

I have read from this forum that the differences between Mcnair Towers (Premium Flat) & Bendeemer Lights (Standard Flat) are mainly the gates, windows and also that MT has a bigger living room since the bomb shelter comes in the kitchen (that was what i read before).

However, after examining the floor plan with my SO, both BL & MT has the bomb shelters in the living room itself. Only in some units of MT, the entrance of the bomb shelter comes inside the kitchen whereas for the rest, it comes from the living room.

So, technically, both BL & MT has similar floor plan with the same living room space?

Can someone enlighten me on this?

Thank you.

Having a hard time understanding the difference between standard and premium for these 2 projects too. Which one is more value for money?

Well technically BL is more value for money, it is cheaper on a psf basis after all. If you are in this for investment, I would say this is not a good idea because you do have to wait 5 years to build and another 5 to sell, and a lot of things can happen in that time, but the 3rm flats are a much better deal in that respect than the 4rm flats if you check the resale prices now.

To me there doesn't seem to be that much difference between standard and premium, especially since now the floors and doors for premium are now also optional. The main thing really seems like the windows. Either full height windows in the living room at MT with not much of a view, or 3/4 height windows in the living room at BL with a view. The bedroom windows are 3/4 height in MT compared with 1/2 height in BL.

If you haven't done so already, just go down to the plots, walk around and pick a spot you don't mind staying forever. It takes maybe 2 minutes longer to walk to BL, but the walk is more straightforward. The fastest way to MT involves cutting through carparks. Also the sheltered walkway to MT is one big round while to BL is quite straightforward. The main drawback of MT is the canal, while the main drawback of BL is the road. If they concern you, both can be mitigated within the particular estate. Ie. in MT you can pick a stack away from the canal or in BL you can pick a stack away from the road.

I agree that this is a noise (BL) vs smell (canal) game :s13::s13::s13:

Thanks for that enlightening analysis. Just wondering if the mscp really acts as a good buffer from the noise? So any unit apart from those at block 10a shld be fine?

Higher floor = lesser pests. No mosquito bite for me anymore after I shifted to 22 levels.
