I managed to somehow make the Acro S hang while playing with it at a Sony centre.. had to hard reset it... haha! Wasn't even doing much, just swiping the screen and notification bar.. lol.

But I think it's a nice phone. Feels good in the hand too with the rubberized texture. The protective caps on top don't feel that flimsy as the plastic is flexible and not the kind of rubber that will harden and break.

Using Xperia S now, but now felt like I should have waited a while more for this phone! But I guess I was attracted to the light.

Sam already lost the benchmarks round to the new xperias. Sam will have to wait next year, note 2 is out of league for being 'exceptionally big'.

We are left with the new fruit phone to show the world its new gpu power.

just got the phone yesterday. yeah. got a hard time trying to change typing language. is there any option, other than had to set Chinese keyboard as default in order to type English/Chinese?

Sam already lost the benchmarks round to the new xperias. Sam will have to wait next year, note 2 is out of league for being 'exceptionally big'.

Well you can't type in Chinese unless you use the Chinese keyboard.. the default Xperia keyboard doesn't have other languages.

Or, you could try GO keyboard! It's what I'm using now and it's nice, you can select from among many languages including Japanese and Korean and you can even change and download different themes for the keyboard.

S3 uses Cortex A9 processor. The latest Xperia uses the new Qualcomm Krait processor, which is similar to the yet to be release Cortex A15 processor.

One thing to note is that some of the benchmark tests are not optimize for multi-core cpu. Same goes for real world application.

Wanted to make a video call to my wife just now and realized there's no video call option in the dialer. Then I checked through the pdf manual and realized too that there's really no video call instructions!

There's a front-facing camera on this phone but very weird that there's no option to make video calls.

quad on s3 and the new s4 chip well is not new already now is as good as s3 Sammy quad
I play with HTC one XL before is smoothness is quite on par

isualy those website review got some baise one
so in the end up to u to go play with it get a feel of the speed if it a major inprovmemt

but if u compare to qualcomm s3 chip using on xs acro ion now offcourse is a improvement lor

In real world use S4 chip would be superior since most apps do not use multi cores. If apps supports multi cores then quad core will be better than dual core.

One thing about htc is that their software is worse compared to sony. Their phones use same chip but sony phones always come out top.

Anyone able to update their Arco S to the latest firmware? I tried using PC Companion & update...halfway during the Preparation screen, it closes & goes back to the PC Companion main screen.

Thanks, Oinkize. I bought it because I assumed that it has 3G video call as it is quite the standard feature for mid to high end phones nowadays and a couple of websites say so too. Quite disappointed actually.
