Called HDB this morning and was told SBF ballot result will be out only in early Nov.

I had wanted to try to get HDB @ Punggol, if can't get, then buy EC.

Yesterday went to Waterbay EC. Quite nice for EC.
Was told that ballot result should be out on 17 Oct.

HDB ballot result out in Nov.
EC result out on 17 Oct, booking on 19 Oct.

Reverse order.

I am a second timer.
Any advise?

why in nov this time?? usually the result will be out in 1 month time...so should be end of oct right..?? i have applied 3 times b4..and the result was out in end of the next month..

First timer, never applied for bto nor sales of balance before. Ratio is around 1:8.5.. the wait is killing me.. any idea how come hdb group the number of applicants for 3 room and 4 room tgt? Any idea what are the general % for the number of applicants for 3 and 4 room respectively? Thanks!

That's the officer's reply. I asked for specific date, he said dont know, only said early November.

just relax and wait for ur results..looks like the ratio is very high..if im not wrong,the hdb will issue q no upto 150%. so if u got ur q no with in 150%..u may wait for ur turn..

looks like u applied for queenstown
only hdb know the reason why they combine 3 rm and 4 rm together. in non-mature estate they combine 4rm and 3rm premium only, while 3rm standard is in another category (more wierd, coz why not combine 3rm standard and 3rm premium instead, right?)
they only tell 1st and 2nd timer ratio so we can calculate roughly the number of 1st timer and 2nd timer. no way to know the number of applicants for 3rm and 4 rm each, since they are combined together. can only say that 4rm is usually the most common choice so it will be more than the number who applies for 3 rm

Hi thanks, not holding my hopes too high, moreover this is the very first time im applying. Im looking at specific units so i will have to get a very good queue number..

Lol yup.. thanks!! Was thinking how come hdb combine those two flat types.. if let say you get a queue number and is asked to come down for flat selection, but only left 3 room and you only want 4 room...there goes one of your first timer chance..

I have encounter as 2nd timer, first or second time no queue number given....number given on 3rd time unless you're are very lucky since 5% given to 2nd timer

So far this is my 7 times apply but my queue number getting better ...for march sobf the total applicant apply is 681 and my queue number getting is 314I though got chance but all flat selectedI have give up CCK in January although my turn got many high floor left

There are pros and cons to this system.

But if u have kids then u need to consider a 4 room instead of 3 room, IMO.

it's not that bad actually. u reject twice to select flat when u have chance then u lose 1 year as first timer status temporarily. that's all. the thing is u're still 1st timer as long as u haven't bought any flat directly from hdb or buy resale using CPF grant.

There are some 1st timer are just plain NAIVE . Or simply say OVER confident.

Well 1st timer queue number can be OUT OF RANGE.

Or worst case,

there are also 1st timer who do not have any queue number when the results are out.
