Since this phone gonna dock into the table, so most of the time the phone will be naked, without casing, etc. Will this phone feel hot after use awhile? I tested the phone awhile, it was slim and light. Pretty interested to get 1. I wonder will the battery last at least a day under heavy usage?

There is a shop on level 1 at SLS manned by a lady. They will customise the screen protector for you. I customise a set for the station and phone there. Very good fitting. By the way, do your phones get warm after a while of Whatsapp-ing or browsing the net?

I wish that sgp would have supported this phone then I could get the ultra optics ... however, I keep it naked and trust me the back is the best you would get... I have slamming it on the table for more than a day now and not a single sign of damage ... love it !

I believe you should be able to, since the Gmask is only 0.1mm. I'm also considering Gmask but I heard the rumors of devices being scratched...
There is a bro who got owned a Taiwan set and have Gmask-ed already. Maybe we can wait for his confirmation?

Phone doesn't get hot at all in heavy tasks also ... only time you will feel hot is if you are charging and using heavily...which is normal

And for some very weird reasons the music effect stuff is not enabled for headphones ... now when everybody is coming out with beats and stuff, they don't have anything for the headphones

Asus did mentioned that the Audio Wizard was programmed purely for the speakers. There's always music player apps EQ if you want for your headphones.

I believe it's due to technical difficulty. After all different speakers/headphones/earphones have different performance. It's technically impossible to make a one-size-fits-all enhancement software-hardware combination. At least not without costing a nuclear bomb with our current technology

My one day review ...

Battery performance is phenomenal and this is on the first cycle itself ...
Screen is at par with iPhone if not better ...
Performance on ICS is at par with Jellybean .. I don't know how Asus did this ... the launcher is just plain awesome in performance
4g speed is acceptable and coverage excellent ... Didn't lose at all on M1 network
Docking is seamless
File transfer using Android tool on Mac is working fine .. PC of course is always ok


Few points I have already gathered and sending to Asus team tomorrow as feedback ...
1. The contact photo frame on the dialer is only 50% of the top screen instead of 3/4 of the whole screen and yes this does not have anything to do with photo size of contact
2. Need options of more shortcuts on the lock screen
3. The back speaker grill is poorly located , in the sense that if you lay the phone flat on the table, the grill gets fully covered muffling the sound
4. Definitely should give some fonts option instead of default Roboto ... Plus they need to enable anti-aliasing to smooth them out instead of pointed and rigid (very sharp on the screen though)
5. The sound mode is always effective even for ringtones, etc which isn't too nice. This should only come in effect for music/videos, etc
And some more little ones ...

All in all ... I would say this is pretty much the closest you can go to an iPhone opposite ! Mot comparing the ecosystem here ...

Asus should have marketed this even more ... In Sitex , padfone 2 had just a few stalls and hardly any crowd on them ... Plus the billing staff was pathetic ...
I was the first buyer of an Asus product (padfone 2) at Sitex .. If not the whole Singapore and no special gifts nothing .. Plus the billing staff were joking among themselves while I just waited and waited to purchase it with my credit card in my hand for 20 mins ...

The preorder redemption of stylus and sleeve can be done there itself as I did it ... The sleeve is top quality and stylus ...well more of a novelty pen

anyway, i thought i was the first in sitex to buy it, cos i went to all the booth all no stock, only newstead had stock. haha about 11am+. all the promoter don't know what is padfone lol.

Not to boast or anything, but I am very sure I am the first in Singapore to own the Padfone 2. After all I bought mine in Taiwan and flew back 2 days after its launch there.

I just bought my padfone 2 ytd and I can't download apps over my home wifi. The download just won't start. I have to resort to mobile data to download my apps. Anyone facing this too?
