Not worth sending to HP for me as warranty is over and the repair costs won't be cheap.

Asides from the digitizer problem, it's gets cranky after prolonged use. intermittently apps just close and can't restart. Using it with CM9, updated to latest nightly but doesn't help.

It's giving me more problems than a cheap MIC tablet I bought in China.

Are you sure its not a CM9 problem? I am dual booting WebOS and CM9 and never had problems on WebOS

The digitizer problem was the same webos or cm9.

The intermittent problem was when using cm9 - hardly use webos anymore. Was using cm9 when the problem arose. As its intermittent very difficult to detect the cause.

Bought the transformer as I needed it for work.

Does anyone know where I can get my TouchPad repaired in locally besides HP technical support?

The battery has gone dead - I tried recharging it but it still cannot switch on, even with the usual trick of pressing the On and Center button at the same time for 30 seconds.

I called up the local HP support center but because I bought the device in the US they said I have to send it back to the US to have it fixed. They said they will not accept it even if I'm willing to pay for to have it fixed :( :frus:

Plus I have already loaded CyanogenMod onto the device; so I don't know if HP US will even repair it since this would void their warranty.

Hi friend , did you found any place to repair it ? i also got in US and its not working too , searching hard for a place who can repair it . ....cheers

Has anyone turned off your HP TouchPad and failed to turn it back on?

I have turned it off, as in shut it down and subsequently never get it to turn back on. It has happened several times already. I have always recovered by doing a reset (power + home button and plug the TouchPad to a charger).

However, this time I can't turn it on... when I plugged it to the charger, there's no sign of it charging the TouchPad. I tried charging my phone, it works. :s22:

I have tried all sorts of solutions found on the net but none are working right now. Does anyone has other ideas?

I had the same issue, and was advised to charge the TP using a normal USB charger overnight and then use the TP charger. Tried everything, and ended with a paper weight

i had the same problem too. Your touchpad loaded with cm android right? somehow the charging is messed up by the rom i feel. i tried with a variety of different chargers until 1 could finally charge. then when there is enough charge to power up, load up to web os and use back original charger to charge.

Yeah, it has CM Android. I don't think it's an issue of CM Android. Before I installed CM Android, it already has trouble booting up whenever I shut it down. For some reasons, it just doesn't want to boot up after it's shut down. :s8:
