Guys please be careful when you signed up with StarHub over the phone. I got cheated by them.

At the last day of SITEX show, I called StarHub sales hotline and signed up for MaxInfinity Elite (150Mbps), which was having the promotion, on a 2 year contract and StarHub TV on a 1 year promotional contract. Everything was agreed verbally and double confirmed. If you have noticed, I signed up the deal separately and not on any Hubbing deal.

So they came to install the fiber on the 6th and everything is up and running perfectly. The next day, I went to check my contract terms online and to my shock, instead of activating the above packages as mentioned above, they actually activated HomeHub Ultimate (2 years Fiber & TV)!

I am very furious now and I'm trying to call them to rectify this very serious error. So guys, please check thoroughly after activation of services.

hey guys! i just signed up for the starhub 150mbps plan. i'm quite noob at networking so i was wondering if the below setup is ok:

ONT -> Starhub's Dlink router (living room) -> Aztech HL115EP Homeplug (living room) -> Aztech HL115EP Homeplug (bedroom) -> Engenius ESR9850 (bedroom) -> Wireless for phone/laptop + LAN cable to desktop

So all I have to do is to disable the wireless on starhub's dlink router right? is it possible to link a LAN cable from starhub's dlink to my TV? also, any idea where to buy a short cat 5e/6 cable to link the ESR9850 to my desktop?

you can choose to disable or leave it on - it depends whether you need the wireless range from both units or not.

yes

dx.com - but takes 1 mth to deliver but quite cheap else, Sim Lim Square or Tower also can but just don't get cheat.

LAN ports all not working

Hi,

Just wondering whether anyone has encountered for Starhub's Huawei HG256s, suddenly all 4 LAN ports are not working?

I actually have a printer always connected via one of the LAN ports and it was working just fine 2 days ago. Today I tried and failed to print. After checking all the LAN ports, I found out that all 4 LAN ports are not working.

Anyone with similar problems or can give some ideas on troubleshooting?

Thanks

Cheers,
Gerald

Found these settings from another thread to connect the AC66U direct to ONT. This if for Starhub MaxInfinity Ultimate, while mine is Starhub MaxInfinity Platinium. (StarHub fiber working with Asus RT-N56U connected to ONT directly - Page 3 - www.hardwarezone.com.sg Post #163)

Will the settings below be the same? I read that the VID and PRIO values are different for each fibre plan?

You may want to refer to the FTTH Knowledgebase thread.

Should be updated to reflect correct VLAN ID. If anyone knows it isn't, just let me know and I can update it.

Hi,

I just subscribed to Starhub MaxInfinity Fiber Optic and is using DLINK DVG-N5402SP router.

I've connected my DLINK DCS-5220 IP camera wireless to the router. I know it is connected wireless as I can see the video (via dlinkddns server) on my Android phone using 3G data network. However, I can't see the video when I switched to wifi on my android phone or via my laptop. The wifi is working fine as I can still access internet. Believed the router may have blocked the video streaming via wifi. Anyone can help? Thanks in advance.
