hi

P3435D is a discontinued model already.

To be on a safe side, you can purchase the laser transparency and drop by Funan challenger lvl 6 to check it out. They got demo sets over there.

P3435D as confirmed by FX...the consumables still can last 5 years so I think is fine. So far I check online Canon laser printer below $300 thr print quality only 600 x 600 where FX P3435D is 1200 x 1200 dpi.

Went to retail shop to try it out. The printer can print on transparency and salesperson told me Phaser 3435D using old technology which the drum and toner are together. Called FX customer service but was told the printer may work on few pieces of printing at first but high chance that it will affect printer's performance after awhile and when I asked about the old technology but the answer was "not sure".

Not sure to take risk to get new model or believe FX customer service to get Phaser 3435D. I really have doubt whether they have the real knowledge or just trying to boo me.

Tough question... But if you are asking about technology, P3435dn is indeed the older technology. If not why would they want to discontinued it :s13::s13:

What problems they say it would happen to your printer ? Cause if they say the paper would melt then it is :s11::s11: Cause if you buy laser printer based transparency, it is meant to withstand high temperature of the fuser so it would not melt.

Maybe they are trying to clear their old model :s22::s22:

Who to believe?

FX just mentioned will affect the printer's performance not. Never say will melt. Perhaps the old and current fuser is different...Why would I pay for an old techonology printer which already phased out...I rather get the latest technoloy one somemore with copy, scan, fax, duplex and wireless function.

A salesperson promoting FX printer and a FX customer service both representing FX...who to believe?

**You have a point here...laser printer based transparency is meant to withstand high temperature of the fuser so it would not melt...unless current printers generate higher temperature of the fuser than the old technology Phaser 3435D, the transparency will be safe to use. Am i right if based on logic?

Base on logic yes the transparency is safe to use cause if cut cost means that the fuser shouldnt be as hot. Did you try to scratch the print out? did the fused toner get scraped out easily?

In the end it would be your gut feeling @_@

But from what I see there wouldnt be any problem with the new SLED series.

Yes when I scratched the fused toner on print out, the toner was scratched off. Normal scratching no problem unless hard scratching.

In this case, it should not have any problem. As normal scratching represent the wear and tear of the surface through friction. You should not be experiencing hard scratching scenario in your daily routine haha

Hi,

I'm looking for color multifunction laser printer with wifi for home office use.
Print, copy and scan is needed, fax doesn't really matter.

Currently looking at FX cm205fw and Samsung clx3185fw or clx3305w, which or any other brand/ model would u recommend?

And for these network printer does it have to be connected to the router or network point? Coz the printer will be placed in my room where there's no network point, and the wifi router is in the living room.

Thanks in advance for the advice!

Just get Fuji Xerox CM205fw.

Dont bother about Samsung printers. They are horrible, after 2 years, high chance you would experience smudge images on your printout.

All three printer have network point and wireless.

Either you do: Router ----(lan cable)---printer
or
Router.....wireless connection...printer

For you should be latter since your printer not beside your router.

1. Mono or Colour

Mono will do

2. Print, Print Scan Copy (3in1) or Print Scan Copy Fax (4in1)

4 in 1
3. Printing capacity per month
No preference

4. Budget
Dunno the price range
5. Other extra requirement like wireless, iphone printing etc.
reliable and easy to use. It's for my aunt

Cheers !!

Either Brother MFC-7860dw or Fuji Xerox M205fw

If you dont need high resolution and need duplex, go for brother. If you want high resolution, go for Fuji Xerox. If you want both, go for Fuji Xerox M255z.

All three models are simple to use haha got shortcut keys on the printer panel.

Normally, if the drum kit need replacement.

Do u suggest getting a new drum or getting a new laser printer? Since a new drum already cost 100+?

Using the Brother DW-2270

Hi bro last time u recommended me Hl2240d but I needa ask a few qns.

is the model the best valued duplex printer around?

what do I need to replace, toner only? How much for toner?

Any recommendations for non duplex non colour? (Wireless and non wireless)

price of toners?

finally where do i get them?

This is just for casual printing, so I would prefer a budget but reliable one that is easy to maintain. Thanks a lot!
